Rainbow Honey Apple Kid

Like some other Blogger gals out there I am particularly drawn to pink this summer (I tell you it even FEELS alien to type this, as I am not normally a pink-polish-person). This Season this all seemed to have changed. The pinks come in a myriad of variations shimmers, holos, and so on. And while OF COURSE I owned my share of pinks. I don't know 'bout you, but not wearing a color, never meant to me not OWNING any - I solely used them for Skittelettes. I hardly ever considered them full-mani-worthy. So here we have Rainbow Apple Kid - a vibrant, saturated rasberry leaning pink loaded with some more pink shimmer.

I applied two wonderfully easy coats of Rainbow Honey Apple Kid over my regular Base Coat. The formula and the consistency are excellent - an exception with this set. Whatever I said about the previously reviewed polishes - it is not valid here. Well maybe with the exception of the slightest tendency to act gluey upon applying the second coat if not carefully painted on.

Final thoughts: Rainbow Honey Apple Kid is a pink-tastic polish - it's rasberry tinge prevents it from a drift off into Barbie-territory not to mention the shimmer that adds to the saturation and depth of the base color.

Oh and isn't it time to show another picture of my cutie pie Nell? Here we go:

I ordered Rainbow Honey Apple Kid with Pshiiit Boutique.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  1. What a beauty, and what a cute name! And pink ♥♥♥ You know what, though? As the temperatures rise, I find myself drawn greatly to blue and the psychologically cooling effect it seems to have. Nell pictures are always appropriate :) My Geddy has, for the last couple days, actually stayed on my lap for a while after I've put her there. lol. No jumping up on her own just yet (she's still pretty shy about interaction like that) but she's slowly becoming my new blogging buddy and there's nothing quite like a contented little diddy on one's lap.

    1. Thank you sis <3!!! I know what you mean about the blues - for me it is those aqua shades this year. Though July drained in rain, I got soaked twice down to my panties in a matter of a minute despite umbrella. Nell doesn't like to sit on my lap but prefers to squeeze between my back and the chair. Oh I am so happy Geddy is a happy furry camper - she is so lucky to have found a home with you and C xxx

  2. Oh wow this is one of my favourite from the series! I love the pink and I love that shimmer :-)

Oh Nell is so cute! He looks very chilled out! You know, his face is quite similar to my little boy as well :-)

I was reading your comment about Anne Cleeves! I've never heard of her :-| and I don't know the books! I've googled it and apparently they made a TV show as well which I've never heard of either! I have heard of Shetland!!!! Never been though it's very north of the country. I'm really central, between Glasgow and Edinburgh!!

    1. Thank you Ananka - I am quite taken by this pink too which says a lot because I rarely reach for them. Nell has that typical face of a tiger patterned cat (at least we call this pattern Tiger in Swiss German). Right now he is highly stressed from all those fire crackers for our Natinal Holiday - poor thingy...

  3. Hehe pink's totally awesome, so it's great that you've seen the light. :P This one's so pretty on you! As a self-professed pink-lover, I actually don't wear that much pink on my nails. I mostly wear pink on my toes (pretty much exclusively lol). Your Nell is so sweet and cute, and I envy his relaxation right about now. :D

    1. Thank you my dear Yun - you wear those pinks so well!!! And guess what - I wear pink on my toes since about two months - haha!!! Nell is currently hiding under the bed - since yesterday it is extremly loud here because of the fire crackersand he yet has to live through the fireworks tonight...

  4. Aww Nell looks so sweet in this pic!
I tell you I'm loving this colour on you, sweetie, though I get what you say about "barbie territory". But with age I care less and less about stereotypes, so I guess in the end there's, at least for me, a little bit of a "rebel" for wearing pink and red in a nailista world dominated by blue and green paws, hahaha. Ok, that is totally nonsense, haha. Happy National day ma biche, have a beautiful day! How were the fireworks? I got to see them from my balcony since I can't stand up in the crowd for too long with my broken foot :/

  5. Such an absolutely lovely pink! I wasn't a pink person either but something happened to me and I'm suddenly craving pinks, not only on my nails! Hehe, that's a new me, that's for sure! I didn't have pink as a girl or a teenager so maybe I'm discovering something new now :p
I love the Nell picture :)
