Just last Wednesday, I treated myself with the mini set of Opi The Great And Powerful and was so eager to try the remaining neutral shades (I only owned a bottle of Don't Burst My Bubble so far. So on to the recipe:
I started out with applying two coats of Essence XXL Nail Thickener to provide the smoothest possible surface to apply the sheer neutral. I selected Glints of Glinda. The application of the two coats was so easy and quick, in short, perfect. I waited until it was really dry before I painted French tips using Illamasqua Kink (a dark bottle green polish with rubber finish). lastly I dabbed on the star of the mani: Lynnderella All Hallow's Eve.
the above picture is taken indoors in daylight, the below photo outdoors in the sun
Isn't All Hallow's Eve just absolutely beautiful??? I found it very easy to control dabbing and just the right amount of glitter would get placed on the nail - equally bigger and smaller pieces.
And just because I liked Opi Glints of Gilda so much on me here a picture of it on its own:
I applied two coats of Opi Glints of Glinda over two coats of Essence XXL Nail Thickener. It might not look like a lot in the above picture but I guarantee, IRL it really looks as if my nails are nekkid and high shine and complements my skin tone wonderfully.
Final thoughts: I am really exited about Lynnderella All Hallow's Eve. This glitter is so versatile and complex, I look forward to work it into future manis to come, Radha, you really sent a gem my way with this one - thank you again for this wonderful polish!!!
I bought the Opi Oz The Great And The Powerful with Douglas.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

This polish looks stunning on you! I've always been lemming Lynderella polishes since I started reading nail blogs about a year ago, but I'm not willing to pay the 50.- it takes to get one of them... Still, they are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :-)!!! I was lucky enough to get this as a gift. I would also not go bidding for a nail polish. But I have to admit the quality and the application of Lynnderella is truly noteworthy and a breeze. I will put this in my nailpolish treasure cave ;-)
DeleteLove the contrast is colors. It's not entirely expected! The gradient looks great too!
ReplyDeleteHi Becca, me too - I was floored when I saw this on Cathy's Blog, somehow it brings the beautiful green glitter so much more front stage!!! Thank you hon xxx
DeleteSuch a beautiful gradient!
ReplyDeleteHi hon, so happy you like it - to me you are the Queen of gradients so guess what this means to me <3
DeleteThis looks gorgeous over Glints of Glinda - the perfect pair!
ReplyDeleteHi Heather - thank you so much, I could not think of a better "canvas" for this green glitter ;-)
DeleteThe combo of All Hallow's Eve over Glints of Glinda is fantastic! The neutral color really shows off the glittering green! :D

Hi Yun, thank you so much xxx - Cathy should get all the credit as I have seen this Lynnderella over a neutral with her ;-) and I am still quite stunned that I can carry off Glints of Glinda, I thought this would never ever work for me ;-)
DeleteHi QT! OMG! The Lynderella is absolutely gorgeous!! I think you did a great job on the gradient!
ReplyDeleteBut somehow I can't help wondering how it would have looked if you had done it the other way around...? With the lynderella starting from the cuticle instead of from the tips....? What do you think about this idea? Viele viele Küsschen!! xxx
Hi cupcake - thank you love!!! Hahaha, guess what, I tired, but it sort of looked yuki with my stained nail tips - the Opi is not opaque enough - so I will give this sort of gradient another go with nubs ;-). One of the advantages with the above was, that I could brush on the glitter vs dabbing. Viele Küsschen xxx
DeleteOMG! You tried that already?! LOL! Two minds, same thought! Puss! xxx
DeleteHow gorgeous is this, sis?! Glints of Glinda looks perfect on you! And that beautiful green Lynn glitter on the tips... amazing :)
