Picture Polish Lagoon

As mentioned in my NOTD's of the week, last week was very nail mail heavy! I also got my order of the four new Picture Polish Collaboration Shades. I am one big fan of Sam from Fashionpolish - she is wonderful and welcomed me so warmly and generously to the Blogger world a year ago - Sam I cannot thank you enough for this!!! And I feel so proud that she was one of my first followers!!! Thank you Sam for your continuous support and encouragement!!

So no wonder that her Picture Polish Collaboration shade Lagoon was the first I had to try:

The above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photo outdoors in the sun

I applied three coats of Lagoon over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. The pigmentation is sheer and the formula perfect. It builds up to a perfect Lagoon of nail polish with scattered holo particles and turquoise glitters swimming in it. The color is in my eyes the epitome of turquoise - it is PERFECT!!! It will keep a certain translucent quality (OK you can also say VNL). It is insanely squishy - le sigh… And of course you can also stick with applying two coats only but I found the third coat applied so much more depth and saturation.

Yes, I am a Picture Polish Collaboration shades collector. And yes, I ordered those released previously this year as well - so what about a little comparison? I would call it the Oceanic Trilogy of the Picture Polish range.

From left: Picture Polish Sea Jewel, Picture Polish Lagoon, Picture Polish Ocean.

Pinkie and middle: three coats of Picture Polish Lagoon
Ring: three coats of Picture Polish Ocean
Index: two coats of Picture Polish Sea Jewel

Lagoon and Ocean look clearly related. Maybe like Lagoon being the color of the sea by the shore of a Lagoon and Ocean the color of the sea once a bit farther out. Sea Jewel is not resembling any of them but compliments the other two wonderfully. In short - a perfect trilogy.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
