I guess most of you know by now what a sucker I am when it comes to purple/blue/red multi-chromes so it is for sure no surprise that Crows Toes Muspelheim had to be mine, mine, mine ;-)<br />
<br />
There were quite a number of pictures floating around when Crows Toes launched their latest collection and I was so good - I only got Muspelheim (yes, am patting my own shoulder here). Muspelheim is a beautiful purple/blue/brownish gold shifting multi-chrome with scattered holo pigments throughout.<br />

<br /></div>
I applied one coat of Crows Toes Muspelheim over KBShimmer Right as Rain except on my middle finger where I applied three coats of Muspelheim on its own. The formula was sheer as expected from those multichromes and as you can see in the above pictures, the difference whether you layer it over a similar base color or build it up on its own is minimal. The dry time was quite fast but the polish remained dentable for a good hour or so after applying the Top Coat.<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: And now on to the fact that had me push back this post for quite some time now. The surface dries so gritty due to the holo particles. And if worn on its own it is Top Coat hungry - if I can decipher my notes correctly, I have something like three coats of Top Coat (Glisten&Glow HK Girl) over my middle finger and two coats on all others. I have to admit that this is quite a flaw in my books - there we go all the way to smoothen the surface of our nails to display multichromes at their best and then they come gritty? For me a no-go sadly because the concept and the color of Crows Toes Muspelheim is just awesome. Oh well, there cannot only be besties out there, right?<br />
<br />
I ordered Crows Toes Muspelheim with Llarowe.<br />
<br />

Since quite a bunch of stuff has accumulated on my kitchen/polish table I have to leave safe boundaries and show you more than one polish per post - at least today.<br />
<br />
I am sure most of you have seen the threesome pretties by KBShimmer created for their 6th Anniversary. I have picked the two creams for me - Beach Please the boldest blue leaning pink before edging into neon-magenta territory and Shore Thing a "short of neon" turquoise which reminds me strongly, very strongly indeed, of Illamasqua Nomad (I have given this one on to a friend who was craving for it so unfortunately I cannot show comparisons). Let's get down to polish business:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMxZCaDXjYOCXOvWtizB5ZFP6pprCK8jF_-Wg3gf3W4fZPGHRFL3i2E4hj_zyVWGNPhebxHUW_ilDMcR2RcpYtZ4B2XBONsJzbD3QLo1UOl_TsbGBwl2b1GRz0y0-Ntggcww9BTss0M7A/s1600/IMG_6728.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMxZCaDXjYOCXOvWtizB5ZFP6pprCK8jF_-Wg3gf3W4fZPGHRFL3i2E4hj_zyVWGNPhebxHUW_ilDMcR2RcpYtZ4B2XBONsJzbD3QLo1UOl_TsbGBwl2b1GRz0y0-Ntggcww9BTss0M7A/s1600/IMG_6728.jpg" height="640" width="514" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1lYc0tzppSEeFxZEjRbu2itkcfIWyxDodvwwOye9AejEEqwKorYhkKkle7EFEquhc8OXlpe4EFKcXQJrSUl2j06o723p0mtQ4DskQ2g2utHKfmZC3Fo12ZE1njBz1zzpS5myi6sZNfxI/s1600/IMG_6725.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1lYc0tzppSEeFxZEjRbu2itkcfIWyxDodvwwOye9AejEEqwKorYhkKkle7EFEquhc8OXlpe4EFKcXQJrSUl2j06o723p0mtQ4DskQ2g2utHKfmZC3Fo12ZE1njBz1zzpS5myi6sZNfxI/s1600/IMG_6725.jpg" height="640" width="576" /></a></div>
<br />
I applied two coats of KBShimmer Beach Please over my regular Base Coat which currently is Nail Pattern Boldness Digital Hydration (a ridge filler). I found the formula a smidgen thin and I had to be wary to not flod my nailbeds but carefully wiping off the brush at the rim of the bottle sorted all out. The first coat turned out quite sheer and even streaky due to the aforementioned but the second coat which I dared to apply medium thick, provided the opacity I love to see on my nails with such bold colors. Dry time clearly is on the fast side and I definitely would recommend to spruce up the shine with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFe0Cp0TjMFm_Lu5j_bh5pYdlP_MuLfz348PXmFOZ08bESeoLnUQj7f8Xja3G_ZXs3gi0XnV4XBQc7RFCoLsvRvS9lUk_XOvX8utnDpUgfy0QamaocxT2mdND_yfNCBxorxzS_bYCBbsk/s1600/IMG_6818.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFe0Cp0TjMFm_Lu5j_bh5pYdlP_MuLfz348PXmFOZ08bESeoLnUQj7f8Xja3G_ZXs3gi0XnV4XBQc7RFCoLsvRvS9lUk_XOvX8utnDpUgfy0QamaocxT2mdND_yfNCBxorxzS_bYCBbsk/s1600/IMG_6818.jpg" height="640" width="530" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
isn't this just glowing like neon?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFqWFpPoLan_4E3nj3hr-s-ypm7YTaXGJFhZPcTxrT4u0GOoW41khj2aKfUphI4p0TT_C3EZMn2cFObkmDtpQMCXEEElJeQPNPPmKRzl_0_A6TrezCfXLSr29sk8bCZNaz7mcEAPtEpPw/s1600/IMG_6805.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFqWFpPoLan_4E3nj3hr-s-ypm7YTaXGJFhZPcTxrT4u0GOoW41khj2aKfUphI4p0TT_C3EZMn2cFObkmDtpQMCXEEElJeQPNPPmKRzl_0_A6TrezCfXLSr29sk8bCZNaz7mcEAPtEpPw/s1600/IMG_6805.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I also applied two coats of KBShimmer Shore Thing again over my regular ridge filling Base Coat. Same story as for Beach Please. And with this one I had an amazing experience: I managed to get my thumb really dented not a big dent but it was deep and it was already past 10 pm and I was in no mood whatsover to restart business with my thumb. I did some soft pushing and shoving and could actually close the dent, slapped on another coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top and now look at that: no traces left of that dent that once sat square in the middle of my nail - how amazing is THAT? In my humble opinion this speaks of true quality and excellent performance of both the nailpolish AND the Top Coat.<br />
<br />
Since I wear my polishes hardly ever for more than a day, I cannot give you an account on longevity but after a full day of wear at the office of both, Beach Please and Shore Thing I could not detect a single nail with tip wear much less a chip or any other signs of wear, I guess once more both of these are big thumbs up for looking gorgeous for a couple of days.<br />
<br />
I ordered KBShimmer Beach Please and Shore Thing from Harlow & Co.<br />
<br />
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!<br />

How is your week going? I for sure am back at full steam at work with everyone being back from vacation all charged and on a roll. It's been a while since I introduced a new to me brand and today I have a new to me brand that I purchased after having seen reviews - multiple reviews that is - over at <a href="http://www.mynailpolishonline.com/">My Nail Polish Online</a>. Of course given my low-buy intention I was not right jumping on the bandwagon and I missed the launch at Harlow & Co and by the time I finally placed my order of course my first choices were gone - lucky me - I ended up getting Lake Lyn. This is a denim blue-with-hints-of-teal jelly and then there is so much going on in there: copper glitter in various sizes and turquoise iridescent glitters in small and medium that throw tiny holo beams when hit by the sun:<br />

I applied two coats of Powder Perfect Lake Lyn over Nail Pattern Boldness Digital Hydration. It is a jelly so this says it all about the formula. However, the application was purrrrfect - so easy to control and the polish went just where I wanted it to - it was a breeze and dry time was really quick. A bonus: the surface of your nails will be nearly smooth - one coat of Glisten&Glow HK Girl was totally sufficient to turn Powder Perfect Lake Lyn into a high shine glossy beauty.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Final thoughts: Powder Perfect Lake Lyn has won my heart over instantly. And one of the reasons why I could not get myself into swatching as I was physically revolting against the thought of removing it - there you have it - LOL!!!</div>

And yayyy I nearly made it within the week - I am through all of the polishes that came with Llarowe's A Box Indied for August TO-DAY!!!! I end my review of the August Box with presenting the awesome 7 Years Of College Down The Drain by Different Dimension. This is what lip stains are for lips - it is a polish stain because I cannot say that it is a jelly, well it probably is but then there is so much going on in there like golden and pink flakies and then the whole sheer tint is filled with green/blue iridescent micro particles. Confused? Just look:<br />

I applied four coats of Different Dimension 7 Years Of College Down The Drain over my regular Base Coat. Don't be shocked about those four coats - I started out with an extremely irregular first coat and it took me all of those four coats to even out things. So you totally get away with three coats. However, this guy is not meant to be opaque, but to gleam translucent. The formula is so workable and easy to apply despite all the stuff that swims in there. Dry time is fast and the surface of your nails will be smooth and shiny. I finished the mani with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: I am wowed by Llarowe's A Box Indied for August - each and every polish in this months' box had me squealing, throwing my hands up in the air in delight and what have you. Well maybe with one exception but that is just me and my taste and has nothing to do with either color or formula. Oh and of course another word or two on Different Dimensions 7 Years Of College Down The Drain: I am so happy to add yet another shade to my Different Dimensions family - I tend to neglect that Indie brand for I don't know what reason but they come up with such awesome and unique shades it is just amazing.<br />
<br />
I got Different Dimension 7 Years Of College Down The Drain is part of Llarowe's A Box Indied for August and exclusively available with that box only.<br />

Tog a! Tag a! from Llarowe's A Box Indied of AugustHello my dear nailpolish friends! Now today I have another gorgeous, gorgeous number of Llarowe's A Box Indied of August and it goes by the name Tog a! Tog a! Tog a! created by Llarowe. Is it appropriate to label Llarowe a stronghold for awesome holos? I would definitely say so and Tog a! Tog a! Tog a! is a real bright metallic looking purple in the shade and by shade I mean a really shady place with no light floating in from wherever because the second the tiniest ray of light hits that baby it lights up to a crazy blurple throwing linear holo beams mostly in red and blueish shades and now on to a serious picture spam:<br />

<br />
I applied two coats of Colors by Llarowe Tog a! Tog a! Tog a! over my Nailpattern Boldness Digital Hydration. And I know this might read boring but the formula and the consistency are flawless and each brushstroke was a pleasure to apply. Dry time was fast and I finished the mani with Glisten&Glow HK Girl. Upon removal I had the strange experience that the polish pigments sort of divided and I was left with some pink smears of polish that looked like powder residue. If I would have worn Tog a! Tog a! Tog a! for longer than a day it probably could have stained my nails badly but as is all of that residue came off just fine. I first thought that this is my Base Coats do but then I haven't had the same base on all of my nails so I don't believe that, well it is just weird...<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: I had Colors by Llarowe Tog a! Tog a! Tog a! on for my todays TRX workout - usually I feel close to death halfway through the hour - it is so hard. But today I just was mesmerized by my nails and sort of walked through the workout in a breeze - I am sure I will feel the impact tomorrow trying to climb stairs, carry papers or even lift my arms to steer the wheel in my car - LOL!!!<br />
<br />
This polish is exclusive to Llarowe's A Box Indied to which I subscribe but then Colors by Llarowe have an awesome range of purple holos which are not any less breathtaking.<br />
<br />

Here in Switzerland we seemed to have gotten all the summer rage there was for us from February to June (those months were actually gorgeous) and now we are having the spring we missed out on - oh well - plenty of time to catch-up on untried nailpolish and unseen movies, right?<br />
<br />
Last Wednesday I was quite bold in stating something like "showing all polishes that came in Llarowe's A Box Indied within a week" - ooopsie - only 2 more days to go of that said week, time to take a seat and look at Girly Bits Food Fight. Already my last Girly Bits polish (Man Size Love) was catapulting me into a new nailpolish galaxy of exitement. Now Food Fight my dear readers is leaving me as an inarticulate heap of delight. Looking at the bottle, it doesn't really give away it's beauty completely but then you get that concrete grey jelly on your nail, see the green/blue iridiscending glitters flow from your brush onto your nails and the myriad of micro holo particles start to twinkle and sparkle interspersed with small copper glitter and you know, you are lost. Well of course this is overly dramatic but then I can get floored and squealing in delight over something as simple as nailpolish - but I get ahead of me here, have a look:<br />

<br />
I applied three effortless coats of Girly Bits Food Fight over my regular Base Coat. The consistency is signature jelly and the glitters flow well dispensed and easily onto the nail. The dry time is fast to normal and the surface is slightly uneven due to the glitters. But surprise, surprise, this is no Top Coat eater - one coat of Glisten&Glow HK Girl was enough to keep that guy shiny and smooth for three days.<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: I mean WOW, just WOW - what an absolute marvel that is!!! And I have to admit that I probably would not have bothered getting it if I would have seen pictures of the bottle only and if it would not have been part of A Box Indied and oh boy, what I would have missed.....<br />
<br />
I subscribe to Llarowe's A Box Indied which means that you get one box a month holding five items of Indie wonders for 50 US Dollars. So far, this splurge was worth every penny - I discovered so many beautiful polishes and great brands that I probably would have given a pass elsewise. <br />
<br />
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for dropping by!!!<br />

I admit I have been dragging my feet writing up posts, there were just too many ideas tumbling round my head and I could not get myself to decide on what to show you. Also I had some quite awesome stuff on my nails which kept me from swatching - I just could not get myself removing the pretties - one of them is todays pick Dance Legend Enamel Color No 332. Now there was quite a hype in the nailpolish universe about the Dance Legend Multi Chromes, about their holos, prisms, new prisms and so on. But that brand has also an incredible amount of cream, crelly and jelly collections that get a lot less attention outside Russia or so it seems to me. Cruising Llarowe's site some weeks back I stumbled over No. 332 in their Enamel Color line, a perfect grass green high shine cream and since I have been whining and complaining about the lack of straight forward green creams available I had to snag that little beauty:<br />

I applied three coats of Dance Legend No 332 over my regular Base Coat. The formula is a hybrid between a cream and a crelly like the pigmentation is that of a cream, the consistency that of a crelly. I had a little struggle with some polish flooding on my index (as you can still see in my pictures, no amount of clean-up or editing pictures would get all traces erased). This is mostly due to the long brush of Dance Legend polishes paired with the formula and me not wiping off the brush at the rim of the bottle carefully. Of course you could get away at two coats - it provides a decent opacity - but I just wanted to get more saturation and vibrancy from that green and went for a third coat. The dry time was pretty decent and the finish pretty shiny. I finished this mani with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.<br />
<br />
And then I wanted to add something make-upey: Yun from The Polish Hideout stated in a comment that she likes to read my thoughts on make-up as she also is loving simple and fast best, just like me. Today I want to share one of my holy grail/staple items that is both fast and efficient: colorless lipliner. Mine is from Dior - I use it since many years and while now a lot cheaper alternatives pop up left and right, I sort of stayed faithful with it. Why a clear lipliner? Because IMO you end up every so often missing just that one color of liner in your collection that you would need. Now this little guy here has solved me from ever ranting about the right color of liner again. No matter what I put on my lips, this is my liner. Not to mention that the Dior Universal Lipliner Pencil really gets the job done. It prevents ANY lip color from bleeding on me. At the same time my lips don't look unfinished or "border-less" if you know what I mean. It cannot get better than that, right?<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Here you see me about halfway through the day having just reapplied some Gloss Volupte without repainting my contours and look how it works - no staining around the edges from my earlier application. But as said, I am not correcting the shape of my lips - this might have quite some impact</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTVJUScg7A8ser4Gc0quH-N443J8fnprqklvWPa_1NZudKQqXW8tLPGMEifp8FdO1cjfFHn8hzR3MPYRwAl6Pqh31yvbFzJVpSuay1I6yWm6rWWwM_vDRdM1q6bRxrbuXiSjEj6__Wba4/s1600/IMG_5729.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTVJUScg7A8ser4Gc0quH-N443J8fnprqklvWPa_1NZudKQqXW8tLPGMEifp8FdO1cjfFHn8hzR3MPYRwAl6Pqh31yvbFzJVpSuay1I6yWm6rWWwM_vDRdM1q6bRxrbuXiSjEj6__Wba4/s1600/IMG_5729.jpg" height="400" width="243" /></a></div>
<br />
Please note that this is just my very own opinion based on the experience I made with this product over the years and I do not correct the shape of my lips but just frame them to prevent the lip product to flow all over my face. I also haven't tried any other brands, so I cannot really tell if this is any better or worse than cheaper stuff or other high-end brands.<br />
<br />
I ordered Dance Legend Enamel Color No 332 with Llarowe.<br />

Todays cure for my itching to get new nailpolish is Femme Fatale Burning Dusk. Is it only me or am I simply reading the wrong Blogs - somehow it seems to me that the Femme Fatale holos have gotten a lot less stage time than many of the other brands. And while I am certainly one of the first to have to admit that I neglected them for any random other holo - I still find it a bit of a pity because if any of the others are like Burning Dusk they are gorgeous.<br />
<br />
Femme Fatale Burning Dusk has a red toned purple base and throws a lilac soft blue shimmer. In the sun the shimmer is framed with a linear holo that is dominantly red (oh my GOSH!):<br />

<br />
I applied three super thin coats of Femme Fatale Burning Dusk over my regular Base Coat. The first coat would start getting a tad patchy if I went over the same area more than once and of course it was sheer. The second coat provided already opacity but to intensify the shimmer and the base I went for a third very thin coat and it was so worth it. It needs to be mentioned that Burning Dusk dries super quick and there was no need to wait in-between applying the coats. I finished my mani with Glisten&Glow HK Girl Top Coat.<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: You know what I am reminded of when ogling Femme Fatale Burning Dusk? The color concept is reminiscent of the famous RBL Scangie. I find this a very intriguing and unique shade of polish that is totally unique in my collection (I wonder how often I have said this about a polish…. oh well, just mindless rambling here). And I particularly like that the spectacular colors of Burning Dusk are a bit understated and still totally center stage - I hope you know what I try to say here…<br />
<br />
I ordered Femme Fatale Burning Dusk with Harlow & Co. They are also available with MeiMei Signatures.<br />

I am still on the quest to show all of the polishes that came with August's A Box Indied by Llarowe. Today I show you the one polish I actually tried out first: Crows Toes Your boy is a P-I-G Pig. At first glance this is really not the kind of polish you would expect to come from Crows Toes - an incredibly soft pink jelly filled with iridescent glass flecks and white flakies. But what looks like an innocent soft pink in the bottle grows to full blown edginess once on the nail. Crows Toes Your boy is a P-I-G Pig has that shimmer that throws an iridescent blue cast in the sun that is so vibrant that it left me gaping in wondrousness at my nails (sorry there was no sun near or far when I took the polish worn on its own):<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDr69b9Fgp84ZIzJ7r5NxIAXx1ap5o66-gpqgMR3fX2nAXzWTpFJhhFCOTxzayFC0E2mtj4JuoSifSTq0Efwez37xNCOYQcZjwx9BrBg6RUV7X54pA3SpbYd23nYeeOIutxM9uoSiJ_tI/s1600/IMG_6575.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDr69b9Fgp84ZIzJ7r5NxIAXx1ap5o66-gpqgMR3fX2nAXzWTpFJhhFCOTxzayFC0E2mtj4JuoSifSTq0Efwez37xNCOYQcZjwx9BrBg6RUV7X54pA3SpbYd23nYeeOIutxM9uoSiJ_tI/s1600/IMG_6575.jpg" height="640" width="510" /></a></div>
<br />
I applied three coats on its own over my regular Base Coat. The formula and consistency are outstanding. Already the first coat flows onto the nails even and smooth though very VEEEERY sheer. Coat numbers two and three did build up nicely though this guy will stay sheer no matter the amount of coats you slap on your nails. But Your boy is a P-I-G Pig is not about becoming opaque it is about getting those glassflecks and flakies all room there is to play in the light. It dries quick and smooth to a rather shiny surface. I finished the mani with one coat of Glisten&Glow HK Girl. I also tried what it looks like mattified but this little guy is loosing its spruce once matte. The iridescence cast by the glassflecks get lost and this is the extra that makes Your boy is a P-I-G Pig so outstanding.<br />
<br />
Now all of those of you who read my blog on a regular basis will know that this is one of the least shades in the polish universe I gravitate to so no surprise that I had to actually do something with it.<br />
<br />
I was chatting with my dear Blogger friend Jezzica from <a href="http://littlemissnailpolish.blogspot.ch/">Little Miss Nailpolish</a> (there is no-one like her with whom I can brainstorm nail designs besides her being the most wonderful friend you can imagine) and we were tossing ideas to and fro about what to do with Crows Toes Your boy is a P-I-G Pig. She brought up the idea to stamp it with something totally opposite the princessy look like skulls. To make the story short, I was on a mission going through my MoYou Stamping Plates trying to find a skull image and one of those right-before-you-fall-asleep inspiration to sponge NfuOh Mor 03 on my tips to add some color:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
in this picture you can see some of the shimmer on my ring and middle finger</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYSxk-W84p-LAz8JrQKMTRepS8wef-VpxIkrg0REVn5KUYWoaPoyH3ggMwrl4ZGzAj7qkr06WMLf6NqyL8Jv8Xf4JAh4JbKPgqCRmH9vWmPc-OXnInuUy3rw_KoDMiiW_jFjWxIy7YkcQ/s1600/IMG_6583.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYSxk-W84p-LAz8JrQKMTRepS8wef-VpxIkrg0REVn5KUYWoaPoyH3ggMwrl4ZGzAj7qkr06WMLf6NqyL8Jv8Xf4JAh4JbKPgqCRmH9vWmPc-OXnInuUy3rw_KoDMiiW_jFjWxIy7YkcQ/s1600/IMG_6583.jpg" height="640" width="542" /></a></div>
<br />
The look was pretty simple and uneventful to get onto the nails: first I plastered a layer of Opi Glitter Off along my nails to simplify clean-up, sponged on NfuOh 419 lavishly onto my nails and stamped them using MoYou Artist Collection Plate 14 using the third image from right and the one at the far left in the lower row for the stamping.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrcuThCWgv0EMGZLOZcqMUWmZd0lU-Lt4K2Ap-_EJgbhAom8R5eZP3e5H0NH8j1z7II4wTSiXqRY4ubxS-8KwqPwBtCx2COuNOE6Ia8q_xI7T7W-YRdP6E_KStuY1V-Q3oNjJ3VNN169I/s1600/IMG_6604.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrcuThCWgv0EMGZLOZcqMUWmZd0lU-Lt4K2Ap-_EJgbhAom8R5eZP3e5H0NH8j1z7II4wTSiXqRY4ubxS-8KwqPwBtCx2COuNOE6Ia8q_xI7T7W-YRdP6E_KStuY1V-Q3oNjJ3VNN169I/s1600/IMG_6604.jpg" height="640" width="562" /></a></div>
<br />
Again I was hesitant to mattify the mani considering the iridescent shimmer and just have a look - IRL it lost the "je ne said quoi" (the little something) that made the whole look so special - the shimmer and the flakies were really only visible in the picture below.<br />
<br />

It is a mid-tone greyish blue linear holo that looks like a dark periwinkle in the sun. You've Been Hazed is a classical holo polish (GOSH, did I really just type "classic" in relation to holos? I guess we have reached that stage with all the holos that come with shimmer, flakes, multi-chrome and what have you). But on to pics - ok?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIeJeU34JJUZ84C3kvqtTaRpyVDkM7-eirfzEqZOdZvmvOle0RRgrxWTWkWVf7GdILa8x4COGIxTODYAYoXJfKslKduaj8oi2wKjZseUOjykBE1z-ZZL7ytVp-Hmwgy3rtGLdiItQrbS0/s1600/IMG_6621.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIeJeU34JJUZ84C3kvqtTaRpyVDkM7-eirfzEqZOdZvmvOle0RRgrxWTWkWVf7GdILa8x4COGIxTODYAYoXJfKslKduaj8oi2wKjZseUOjykBE1z-ZZL7ytVp-Hmwgy3rtGLdiItQrbS0/s1600/IMG_6621.jpg" height="640" width="590" /></a></div>
<br />
I applied three thin coats of Glisten&Glow You've Been Hazed over my regular Base Coat. And here it shows where this polish doesn't behave like a classic holo - it applied wonderfully and even. Yes, the first coat was sheeeeeeer, and also the second coat did not give the opacity I am looking for in a linear holo. But this little guy behaved so well and dried so quickly a third coat was not taking up a lot of time and given the thinner consistency, you also don't end with a thick coat of polish on your nails. I (of course) finished the mani with Glisten&Glow HK Girl.<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: Glisten&Glow You've Been Hazed quite honestly didn't knock me out of my socks. It is lovely mind you and is extremely versatile with regard to skin tone I am sure but maybe I am already too spoilt with regard to holographic polish - it simply didn't really trigger any excitement with me - so sorry for that….<br />
<br />
I am subscribing to Llarowe's A Box Indied which is exclusively available with Llarowe and released around the 26 of each month.<br />

I look forward to reading your comments - and as always, thanks for stopping over!!!<br />

Yesterday's Skittelette featured the one and only Weddell Sea by Elevation Polish. I was most intrigued by this insanely beautiful polish - a white cream/crelly with only a drop of two of grey in it and a dusting of finely milled holographic particles and golden shimmer. I have read that it is quite similar in the color concept like the famous OPI My Boyfriend Scales the Wall which unfortunately is not available here (well of course I COULD order it online). This is one of those rare opportunities where I already ponder about getting myself a back-up…. But let's have a look at it when worn on its own:<br />

<br />
I applied two medium thick coats of Elevation Polish Weddell Sea over my regular Base Coat. I found the application really easy and the slight patchiness upon the first coat was nothing too worrying and got completely covered by the second coat. The dry time is really quick (well done Elevation Polish - those little gems used to need some more time to get dry in the past).<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: I wore Elevation Polish Weddell Sea for two days which is a first for me - I never wore a nearly white polish or white polish as a full mani before :-o!!!!!<br />

<br />
I ordered Elevation Polish Weddell Sea with their own Bigcartel Shop <a href="http://elevationpolish.bigcartel.com/">here</a>.</div>

These past weeks I worked hard on improving my stamping skills. And looking back now, I cannot prevent patting my own shoulder. I came a long way since my first jittery stampings!!! However I am still having quite some miles ahead of me but right now I am pretty pleased how my stamping turns out IF I use Stamping Polish. With regular polishes my results are still a total hit or miss (jaja, I hear you with using one coaters, etc - still the use of stamping polish is the easiest for me right now).<br />
<br />
So let's move on to why exactly I am so pleased with my stamping:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9mgZZQaYxs7aux3wQWnWfbAt6cr8tki1NPxsnJR8BmxQG_8NBPd7FtOGNYSu_ftwVJIzSFhU_EPrjLept6qxGH_SsE3LpfXW27fqGi2BlA6mvh2PRtbEEcfe_LoNcbVz7IqreEtbENNw/s1600/IMG_6169.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9mgZZQaYxs7aux3wQWnWfbAt6cr8tki1NPxsnJR8BmxQG_8NBPd7FtOGNYSu_ftwVJIzSFhU_EPrjLept6qxGH_SsE3LpfXW27fqGi2BlA6mvh2PRtbEEcfe_LoNcbVz7IqreEtbENNw/s1600/IMG_6169.jpg" height="640" width="490" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Ring: Elevation Polish Weddell Sea stamped with MoYou Pro Plate<br />
Middle and thumb: Elevation Polish Ceram Sea stamped with MoYou Pro Plate<br />
Index: Elevation Polish Ave Secretan<br />
<br />
I am working my way slowly towards more and more contrasting Skittelettes - I just love the tossing and turning of ideas and then the mix and match game on my nails. For this one I did not mattify the stamping - I did not want to add to the diversity of the mani by mixing different finishes.<br />
<br />
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!<br />

You might have read this ad nauseum over here at Polished Marvels but I am still on a low-buy - read: carefully weighing ANY nail polish purchase. This mind-set of mine was tested to the limits upon Colors by Llarowe latest Collections. And I could not resist getting a couple of them. When I laid eyes on the first pictures of Julia Roberts 1967 created by Emily (the sweetest Customer Service Rep) I knew it had to be mine. A perfect Pistachio green holding silver and white shimmer and the finest milled scattered holo (I detected mostly yellow-gold and turquoise but I did not wear my reading glasses - please excuse any inaccurate reports on the holo colors).<br />

<br />
I applied two coats of Colors by Llarowe Julia Roberts 1967 over my regular Base Coat and finished it with Glisten&Glow HK Girl. Now the polish fairies were not well disposed towards me yesterday. I had one big fight with Julia Roberts 1967. The formula of my bottle is thick and not nicely spreading. I should once remember posting a picture of a really bad first coat here - not so much as to shy off anyone at the gruesome view but as reassuring measurement that nearly ANY polish can be built up to a lovely and beautiful finish. But back to matters at hand: After having painted about four nails I finally "understood" that polish. Julia Roberts 1967 wants to be applied in medium thick coats. And don't, just absolutely don't go over the same area twice. It will not look patchy but the brush literally picks up again ALL the polish you just applied - ewww!! It dries though super quick to a level of dry-to-the-touch but beware - it remains dentable for a good hour or so. What saved the mani overall? The immaculate, one and only Glisten&Glow HK Girl. It covered and then evened out not one but two of my dents. The remaining part of my hassle was totally my fault - I ended up having to do two of my nails again from scratch, drowned a nailbed completely in polish - you get the idea, right?<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: Despite the hassle I had for getting Colors by Llarowe Julia Roberts 1967 onto my nails I love it - it is exactly my favorite shade of Pistachio green (imagine some ooh-ing, gushing and OMGs). Now I have to yet SEE the shimmer - I think it is more to spruce up depth and overall look of this beauty. So if you get it (which you actually should if you are into Indies) work with medium thick coats, don't go over the same area twice and don't head for grossary shopping right after application. Then you will be fine - no, you actually will be DELIGHTED!!!<br />
<br />
Notes about Nell: those of you who follow me also on Instagram (@mausishuffle) might have seen my earlier posting there about Nell falling from the window sill on first floor down to ground at 2 a.m. last night. I was frankly mere inches from a heart stop and ran down in my nighties and slippers into a creepy storm to look for him. Luckily he was fine, dashing past me into the house at the speed of a canon ball. He is playful, hungry and currently haunting "the hood" in a mild summer night - I am relieved beyond words that the furball of my eye is apparently fine. I trust that any serious injury would have shown by now. Just look at him:<br />

Are you ready for the weekend? In case you are in for some polish-cruising/buying why not heading to Pahlish? They currently offer part of their range as Sale and today I show you two shades from the Midsummer Bonfire Set that currently are on sale.<br />
<br />
First up Foolish Fire - a coral neon cream with soft blue and golden red shimmer (quoted of the Pahlish Bigcartel website). I don't know if you realized, but I am not the Blogger to go to when you want to see neons - it is not my favorite kind of polish with two exceptions, one of them are coral neons (oh boy that was hard to photograph and one of the few opportunities where I had to tweak the picture a little bit to give a better color accuracy and despite my best efforts, I still would have to ask you to think the color a tad more into red-coral than shown below):<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU0Axx7D4lkSvHyKmEE-VGtzqlVfvR2t97YyP9qVVYVRbtCYCzgxM8cMsk4TyfxVBjHC9S042wfYVjuMb43mkfiBYIHzRoDB5jTuC_1fj5XqTwId9Emdpq6T0hUyeJ5_N5ZKQMxehtKHw/s1600/IMG_6439.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU0Axx7D4lkSvHyKmEE-VGtzqlVfvR2t97YyP9qVVYVRbtCYCzgxM8cMsk4TyfxVBjHC9S042wfYVjuMb43mkfiBYIHzRoDB5jTuC_1fj5XqTwId9Emdpq6T0hUyeJ5_N5ZKQMxehtKHw/s1600/IMG_6439.jpg" height="640" width="564" /></a></div>
<br />
I applied two coats of Pahlish Foolish Fire over my regular Base Coat. Formula-wise it is a typical neon: streaky and uneven, drying very fast to a satin finish. That being said two medium thick coats with some minutes in-between application did the job. I finished the mani with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.<br />
<br />
And secondly Pahlish Will-O-The-Wisp - a bright lilac cream with lavender, gold, taube and neon purple flake shimmers (as per Pahlish website).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I applied two coats of Will-O-The-Wisp over my regular Base Coat. The formula was so creamy that it can be described as thick - at least it acted like this in the humid weather. You can see the lumps it left on my ring finger - entirely my fault though because I did not wait before applying the second coat - bummer!!! Dry time was fast and it dried to a soft shine finish which I show here - no Top Coat for my tow pictures.</div>
<br />
Final thoughts: Both, Pahlish Foolish Fire and Will-O-The-Wisp are so signature Pahlish in my opinion: creams with a twist! I like both with a slight preference of Foolish Fire but only due to the little contrast Will-O-The-Wisp shows against my skin.<br />
<br />
I order my Pahlish polishes directly from their own Bigcartel Shop <a href="http://www.pahlish.bigcartel.com/">here</a> and both of the shown polishes are currently on sale and retail for USD 7.50 plus shipping.<br />

Today I have my favorite from my recent Pahlish haul for you - Your Bright Shadow - the most perfect vibrant periwinkle cream base filled with aqua and seafoam green metallic glitters. The mid-sized glitters come in round and square shape.<br />

<br />
I applied two coats of Pahlish Your Bright Shadow over my regular Base Coat. Oh I did learn my lesson with those creams, applying a first medium thick coat, NOT going over the same area twice and waiting a couple of minutes before applying the second coat made this polish easy as cake to apply. It dries down to a satin finish but the surface of the nail was only slightly uneven due to the glitter. I applied KBShimmer Clearly on Top to smooth out things and give it some high glossiness.<br />
<br />
Final toughts: We are really spoilt with gorgeous periwinkles this year. First there was Picture Polish Swagger and now Pahlish Your Bright Shadow - what an amazing, mind-blowing polish!!!<br />
<br />
I ordered Pahlish Your Bright Shadow with their own Bigcartel Shop <a href="http://www.pahlish.bigcartel.com/">here</a>.<br />

Having read todays theme my first thought admittedly was a slightly shocked "uh noooo". While I did get partly into pink nailpolish, I am still not reaching too often for this color. But the longer I thought about wearing something pink, the more exited I got and I finally came up with this:<br />

Pinkie: about 4-5 coats (cough-cough) of Colors by Llarowe Holiday Road (don't get shied away by the number of coats, it is drying quickly and applying awesomely - I will do a full review of this beauty soon)</div>

Ring: 2 coats of Opi Vampire is my Buff, I did the flowers using Cult Nails Falling Hard and then I mixed up some greens with Dance Legend No 332 and Colors by Llarowe Holiday Road</div>
<div>
Middle: 2 coats of Cult Nails Falling Hard, for the flowers I used Opi Vampire is my Buff and again the same mix of green nail polishes</div>

Now I hope, I did not copy anyones' nails here without being aware of it and therefore unable to give credit. I got inspired by a tutorial on You Tube for simple nailart by Simplichic. Of course the pink was a given by the theme of the day and then I cannot resist throwing a green into any pink ;-P.</div>

And here I have Cult Nails Falling Hard on its own:</div>

This is pink-awesomeness at two coats applied over my regular Base Coat and sealed with Glisten&Glow HK Girl. The formula is your typical Cult Nails, highly pigmented and on the thin side - you ought to be careful with the amount of polish traveling on our brush - I luckily spilled only some on my worktable versus all over my cuticles (phew - imagine THAT clean-up). Falling Hard glides on easily to your nails and is a self leveling dream. Dry time is on the fast side and the finish has the loveliest high shine. I actually planned to only swatch it on all nails and ended up painting all nails with it anyhow - I loved it that much.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Coming to think of it, I have quite a number of other pink stuff in my beauty storage - wanna see? If yes, please scroll down ;-)</div>

Dior Rosy Glow Powder Blush - oh boy that one is worth every Cent or Rappen in my case</div>
<div>
Bobbie Brown Pretty Pink Powder Blush that undeservingly gets little love since I got the Dior Rosy Glow</div>
<div>
MAC Mineralize Powder Blush in Azalea in the Afternoon. I love to wear this in winter when my skin tone is paler</div>
<div>
Yves Saint Laurent Cream Blush in No 2. This is such a versatile shade of pink that works with more tanned or paler skin tone, natural make-up or more colorful one - this is what I consider a perfect blush for me for travels</div>
<div>
Yves Saint Laurent Flower Crush Palette Rosy Blush - it works as Highlighter in summer and as Blush in winter in my books.</div>

<div>
Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Pink Lagoon. Released as LE for last summer - I adore the coolness on the skin you feel right after application</div>
<div>
Dior Addict It Line Eyeliner No 879 (pink) - one of the best products I purchased this year and a lot more wearable than you might think (I never apply it with the applicator but dip a blop on the back of my hand and paint the eyeliner with a eyeliner brush. </div>
<div>
And from the same collection Dior Addict It-Lash 872 (pink) I use either the above eyeliner or the mascara, never both in one go. And of course I apply the mascara sparingly only on the tips of my upper lashes.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Lips<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFBVwO46KcTGGloq7NpdEd2woxFsS4ia08PSj1d3HAq6HVSPeNB5EkaOTSqobK_YLXhuLotuXR1Uv5d_1KbBlBLkBHOxyt3e2HO1FPAjDzFVz0uFKhMdLrrOfu3T1QaYbxgdUZ5rfR3E8/s1600/IMG_6518.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFBVwO46KcTGGloq7NpdEd2woxFsS4ia08PSj1d3HAq6HVSPeNB5EkaOTSqobK_YLXhuLotuXR1Uv5d_1KbBlBLkBHOxyt3e2HO1FPAjDzFVz0uFKhMdLrrOfu3T1QaYbxgdUZ5rfR3E8/s1600/IMG_6518.jpg" height="400" width="342" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Volupte No 49 (bottom left) - the most awesome cool toned pink EVER and my preferred formula, well maybe with the exception of </div>
<div>
Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Reflexion (bottom right) not much to say about that one except it is really nice to wear, lasts well over a couple of hours and leaves your lips tainted softly even if the glossy part vanished - it is a pretty everyday medium bright pink with red undertones</div>
<div>
And lastly two buys I regret - both are Yves Saint Laurent Vernis a Levres No 35 and 104 (the ones on top). Mind you, it is not the color or the application or the durability but I personally dislike the tacky feel on my lips.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For once I have a question: do you like it if I intersperse some of my make-up thoughts here and there? Please consider that my view is that of a simple every day user, I am no way near any of the professionals reviewing make-up and for me it is all about simplicity and functionality - I cannot be bothered with too much mixing stuff to make it work. Either I slap it on and it works for me or I let it lay. </div>

A pale lavender crelly, filled with bright matte turquoise hex glitters in tiny, small and medium sizes.<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and Charn in the sun - not that much a difference, no?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPsc5Lnu643-s71MujqfuhNrsn9vOfTie7fW-PlcY3KfJjWeNwwoylVCLy_2RtkV6XRSUBq2B8ICVoQlU17JKCUDK_XHqLjl6-eEhCjy8KDZhTa7NOk956slIXVkNNDphgVaXliEKc9lc/s1600/IMG_6417.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPsc5Lnu643-s71MujqfuhNrsn9vOfTie7fW-PlcY3KfJjWeNwwoylVCLy_2RtkV6XRSUBq2B8ICVoQlU17JKCUDK_XHqLjl6-eEhCjy8KDZhTa7NOk956slIXVkNNDphgVaXliEKc9lc/s1600/IMG_6417.jpg" height="640" width="518" /></a></div>
<br />
I applied two effortless coats of Pahlish Charn over my regular Base Coat. The formula is so so good, it is thin, though not runny allowing glitters of the first coat to peek through the following layer of polish without being so thin to sink around the glitters. Dry time was normal and the surface - given the amount of glitter - slightly bumpy. But nothing that would not have been smoothed out after applying a layer of KBShimmer Clearly on Top ;-)<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: More often than not lilacs contrast only mildly next to my skin - this pale version though really plays nicely against my skin!!!<br />
<br />
I ordered Pahlish Charn from their own Bigcartel Shop <a href="http://www.pahlish.bigcartel.com/">here</a>.<br />
<br />
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!<br />

Let's start the introduction of the Pahlish polishes I used for my yesterdays Skittelette. First-up Midsummer Skies which provided the canvas for my self-made stamping decal.<br />
<br />
Midsummer Skies is a super pale lavendar that in my bottle and on my nails looks a lot paler than any of the pictures I saw on the Pahlish Bigcartel Site or on any other swatches. But this could either be due to differences in the batches or how it plays against my skintone and in different lighting. OK so now we established the base color - the softest lavender just short of pastel you can think of - on to the glitter. Ogling my bottle I see copper and aqua blue tiny whiny micro glitters in myriads. On me the copper glitter though looked mostly like a burnt dark orange only out in the sun you can guess that there is a hint of copper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ5jA4WKTuMJQgWZNoA3XyVaIyETIpc2KH85GCtf09fWTl6J9pcYzb00y-ueAkkVHzxDI3QVlkD_J51jP5-HVLE0Wq1CBwL_xntx4w_X4zXEgdjylPmyMKHdbrTNN_bFSuQOzqkxeBBrM/s1600/IMG_6194.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ5jA4WKTuMJQgWZNoA3XyVaIyETIpc2KH85GCtf09fWTl6J9pcYzb00y-ueAkkVHzxDI3QVlkD_J51jP5-HVLE0Wq1CBwL_xntx4w_X4zXEgdjylPmyMKHdbrTNN_bFSuQOzqkxeBBrM/s1600/IMG_6194.jpg" height="640" width="500" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now the formula: those pale colors are notoriously carrying a reputation of coming in streaky and patchy formulas. Pahlish Midsummer Skies appears the same upon the first coat but a second medium thick coat provided a perfect opacity. It is not 100 % selfleveling as you can see on my middle finger but if I did not load my brush with too much polish, this was no issue. Dry time was quick and the surface of my nails was smooth and decently shiny. The removal is no big deal but you might be surprised to find that the polish has a sandy feel when coming off - due to the micro glitter but there is no elbow grease required.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Final thoughts: this lavender is one of the prettiest I have in my stash and it walks the line so well between overly sweet and vibrant - just perfect!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I ordered Pahlish Midsummer Skies with Pahlish Bigcartel Shop <a href="http://www.pahlish.bigcartel.com/">here</a>.</div>

So welcome back lovies - I want to show you the mani I wore for the Swiss National Holiday. Ever since I morphed into a nailpolish addict, I enjoy Holidays so much more because of the manis I can come up with. I usually start pondering about them days ahead enjoying tossing ideas round my head. In my earlier post I showed you my failed stamping decal and since I am not one to easily give up, I went for it again:<div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This mani was a perfect start for a perfect 1 August - everything was just right, it was warm, sunny and I went for a superb BBQ with friends in the evening to watch all the fireworks round us. The only one not being very happy about the Holiday was my poor Nell - they do fire crackers like mad in my area and the poor thingy was beside himself hiding under the bed for two days.</div>

Mind you, I did not give up but went for two more rounds only to make things worse, not even plain stamping worked - alas it seemed to have been one of those days. So I have a plain mani for you but OH!MY!GOSH! what a pretty polish that is.<br />
<br />
I am on a roll about Pahlish Ghost Lights that was released as part of the Midsummer Bonfire Set (which currently is on sale!!!!!!) According to the Pahlish Bigcartel Site it is a <i>"turquoise teal creme with soft blue shimmer and turquoise bleu flakes"</i>. I copied this straight from their site as I frankly could not possibly come up with a better and more apt description.<br />
<br />

<br />
Pahlish Ghost Lights has an absolutely fantastic formula. It is pigmented, very creamy and spreads nicely on the nails. Now the downside of the creamy formula is that it is not absolutely self leveling. Working thin coats is the road to take in my opinion and wait the first coat to dry before taking off to round two. But then we have crappy humidity since weeks, I suspect it hampers the behavior of my polishes significantly.<br />
<br />
Sometime last year, I promised to also show my failings - so let's face my decal disaster and let's start with the Skittelette:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Pinkie, index and thumb: two coats of Pahlish Ghost life</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Ring: three coats of Pahlish Charn</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Middle: two coats of Pahlish Midsummer Skies</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And then I went for the stamping decal on the middle</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8YfaWRZVwimkkq4wlBV8HtVFWVrCKf6ClmXgthTUSWjtHlH00YmsSxs1VNL4jWTh3vixzOaS8TW137y4CJz6EucQmruj97sWZ7G2WaMbpt_EsnwK-ILTcFXELm3aA0xPDpFOgzcfCZpo/s1600/IMG_6121.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8YfaWRZVwimkkq4wlBV8HtVFWVrCKf6ClmXgthTUSWjtHlH00YmsSxs1VNL4jWTh3vixzOaS8TW137y4CJz6EucQmruj97sWZ7G2WaMbpt_EsnwK-ILTcFXELm3aA0xPDpFOgzcfCZpo/s1600/IMG_6121.jpg" height="640" width="512" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
You see that blotch of coral in the middle of the nail? That is to cover up the ripping of the decal and I actually fidgeted the torn part to the tip of my nail. What were my mistakes? Well, firstly, I did not apply a thick enough coat of Top Coat on the painted image on my stamper. And second, I did not only press the decal too hard on the nail but apparently also pulled it - no wonder it tore :-S! So my summary: doing your own stamping decals is EASY!!! The tricky part is to have an even coat of Top Coat on your stamper and to use whether too little nor too much pressure when fixing it onto your nails. That all being said IRL the failing was not evident and much to my astonishment, I got a fair number of compliments!!!!<br />
<br />
I purchase my Pahlish polishes directly from their Bigcartel shop <a href="http://www.pahlish.bigcartel.com/">here</a>.<br />

In my post yesterday I had a stunning green glitter on my pinkie - wouldn't you agree that it deserves a full post on its own??? Well here we go: Black Cat Lacquer Poison Ivy was exclusively created for Llarowe's A Box Indied of May and is a green (with its fair share of yellow in it) jelly holding green and gold and yellow small hex glitters.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
In the below two pictures the differences between two coats (index) and three coats (all others) is pretty evident</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Wearing Black Cat Lacquer Poison Ivy on longer nails and on its own, I frankly do not think I can get away with two coats of polish. To enhance my point I have applied three coats of Poison Ivy from Pinkie to middle and two coats of it on my index. While the difference is not as visible indoors it is quite apparent in the direct sun and mind you, not to the advantage of the two coats I find. The formula is really really easy to apply. Given the amount of glitter in Poison Ivy the polish appears thin (as in jelly) and thicker (as in cream) at the same time resulting in a perfectly to be controlled glitter bomb to apply. This being said, the thicker character of Poison Ivy (due to the amount of glitter) is boarder line for my taste to be worn at three coats. I was utterly impressed by smoothness of the formula - OMG it was nearly completely smooth even at three coats. My pictures are taken WITHOUT Top Coat - consider me impressed to the max!!!<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: I love green nailpolish. But I find it very hard to find greens to my liking available. Many of them have to much yellow in it or too neonesque - I like neon peach, corals and pinks but green and yellow remind me too much of Markers.<br />
<br />
I subscribe to Llarowe's A Box Indied - I totally love the concept of a monthly box filled with nail surprises - I kept up with it despite my low-buy mode and have discovered so many beauties through it which I probably never would have ordered elsewise.<br />
<br />
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for commenting!!!<br />

Pshiiit Boutique has a vast range of Frenz Nails polishes and their metallic shades are perfect for stamping. Frenz Nails also has a crelly line with some really beautiful summer shades that I wanted to try. Flus 10 is a highly saturated and vivid coral that leans quite red which I prefer over the pink leaning corals. Feeling more confident with my stamping now, I had an idea for using this crelly for stamping - let's have a look:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjQMhFohYYOxAT4Rp7ivVAPVo2Hq-0HQCzDAbacuCp2GBCZqpVaYo54Ahay0GGfvO5H84g0aMYAHCWk3xrpy7ft4Y8hyphenhyphenTJt71Kb8itw0pMCRPtKPkIEX3jtCcROkhyphenhyphenCPEpw5uRic10pqk/s1600/IMG_5952.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjQMhFohYYOxAT4Rp7ivVAPVo2Hq-0HQCzDAbacuCp2GBCZqpVaYo54Ahay0GGfvO5H84g0aMYAHCWk3xrpy7ft4Y8hyphenhyphenTJt71Kb8itw0pMCRPtKPkIEX3jtCcROkhyphenhyphenCPEpw5uRic10pqk/s1600/IMG_5952.jpg" height="640" width="586" /></a></div>

Pinkie: two coats of Black Cat Lacquer Poison Ivy from Llarowe's A Box Indied for May</div>

Ring: two coats of Opi Vampire is my Buff stamped with Frenz Nails Flus 10 using MoYou SciFi Collection Plate No </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Middle and thumb: two coats of Frenz Nails Flus 10</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Frenz Nails Flus 10 has a nearly neonic quality, no? The formula is excellent to apply, unfortunately it takes ages (in polish terms) to dry and even when sealing it with fast drying Top Coat the polish remains sensitive to dents for more than one hour. But let's look at some more pictures - shall we?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Final thoughts: I loved the Skittelette and I am feeling quite happy with how the stamping using a crelly turned out! As for Frenz Nails Flus 10 I am afraid I have to put this as fail down into my books. Of course the color is gorgeous and the formula is excellent. But that dry time is a no-go for me. I rather put up with a slightly more challenging formula that dries quick than having to wait forever to do the most simple stuff. So I probably will rather stick with their metallic polishes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I ordered Frenz Nails Flus 10 with Pshiiit Boutiqe.</div>

This Season this all seemed to have changed. The pinks come in a myriad of variations shimmers, holos, and so on. And while OF COURSE I owned my share of pinks. I don't know 'bout you, but not wearing a color, never meant to me not OWNING any - I solely used them for Skittelettes. I hardly ever considered them full-mani-worthy. So here we have Rainbow Apple Kid - a vibrant, saturated rasberry leaning pink loaded with some more pink shimmer.<br />

<br />
I applied two wonderfully easy coats of Rainbow Honey Apple Kid over my regular Base Coat. The formula and the consistency are excellent - an exception with this set. Whatever I said about the previously reviewed polishes - it is not valid here. Well maybe with the exception of the slightest tendency to act gluey upon applying the second coat if not carefully painted on.<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: Rainbow Honey Apple Kid is a pink-tastic polish - it's rasberry tinge prevents it from a drift off into Barbie-territory not to mention the shimmer that adds to the saturation and depth of the base color. <br />

I absolutely DO love lilac but each time I put it on my nails I am sort of meh - maybe it is because I wish it would pop more against my skin tone. Lilac usually just doesn't give the contrast against my skin that I like so much. But here is Tessie - the lilac shimmer of the Rainbow Honey Creme Couture Collection. It is soft yet bright and loaded with dark periwinkle shimmer (how extraordinaire, this combination, no?) And look at how TANNED my skin looks next to Tessie:<div>

<div>
I applied two coats of Rainbow Honey Tessie over my regular Base Coat. The formula is consistent for those three shown colors: a tad tricky, quick drying and not too pigmented. If I would wear this as full mani I would wait for the first coat to dry before going over it with the medium thick second coat. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There is also a mini Top Coat coming in this set which I tried over Tessie and I was quite impressed - high shine and quick drying, this is what we are all looking for, no?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Final thoughts: Yes, this is a beautiful lilac, bright and still delicate with a squishy quality and that shimmer is just A!MAZING!</div>

Be Mine is a coral-peach jelly with golden shimmer at abundance. This is a shade I would never have bought individually - it is not really my pot of polish so to say. However it is sweet, delicate, pretty and its softness is girly and charming.<br />

<br />
I applied two coats of Rainbow Honey Be Mine over my regular Base Coat. Much to my astonishment the formula was not half as difficult as I imagined. Yes, the first coat went on sheer but the second provided the opacity as seen in the pictures above. I have to admit, that I did do a slightly thicker second coat. It is my guess, that due to the amount of shimmer combined with the quick drying formula results in the nearly immediate gluey consistency. Working quick is imperative with all of the Creme Couture polishes, else you won't see the end of the day because you end up with glops and bald patches.<br />
<br />
Final thoughts: No, I certainly will not wear this as mani on its own but for Skittelettes and base for stamping: YES, PLEASE!!!!<br />
