I had my eyeballs hefted on this beauty for quite a while and another quite a while ago, I ordered it during one of Cult Nails Sales Days. Manipulative is a wonderful soft blue leaning turquoise with glimmer in it - I call it glimmer because it is macro-sized and not a punch-into-your-eye effect.
the above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photo outside in the shade
I applied two coats of Manipulative over Zoya Anchor Base Coat. The consistency appears runny but what a deceptive little thing that is - it spreads very smooth on the nail and leaves only minor bald patches on my ridged nails - a very rare occurrence for such a light color!! To cover those patches I applied the second coat medium thick and honestly, I could nearly watch the polish while it levelled itself out!!!! Dry time was rather fast and the finish remained a high shine. Today we had another scorcher of a day so it is a bit hard to judge how it would dry under normal temperatures.
Final thoughts: I am a devoted Cultie (Cult Nails fan, just for those not familiar with the term) and Manipulative therefore is a must in my stash. I love that the "deeply implanted" glimmer adding an overall depth and twists the effect of a plain cream just by that little nudge that gives it more intense glow.
I ordered Cult Nails Manipulative with their own website.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
