Black and white Skittle

All through May I participated in a challenge on Instagram called #supergorgeousmay. While it did require some thinking and planning, still it was easy to do since it was all about posting just a single picture and really great fun, not only to share my interpretation of a theme but also getting to know some gorgeous bloggers. The theme on 30 May was "Black & White" - me being a nail polish blogger I of course had to come up with a mani:

Pinkie and middle: two coats of A England Camelot, stamped with Essence white stamping polish and using MoYou Plate Suki Plate No 10.
Ring: two coats of Cult Nails Tempest and my very first leopard pattern
Index: two coats of Cult Nails Tempest and black studs

Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of my thumb :-(. I also painted it black and stamped it using MoYou Suki Plate No 10.

And for a more understated look I left my middle plain black. Personally, I prefer this version but since I am all about training my stamping skills, I could not resist filling that one up too - LOL!

Final thoughts: Just the other day Nail Art Weekly posted a really helpful tutorial sharing some great tips for stamping rookies like me. Ja, ja, it is still way from perfect but already a lot easier - so a big THANK YOU Karolyn :-).

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  2. Wow, this is gorgeous, Christine! Black and white manis always look so classy, and I love that you made it into a skittle and did a different design for each nail. I love the stamping, by the way... the design is quite artistic! :)

    1. Thank you so much my dear Yun <3! I like the variety as well and honestly, composing a Skittle or a Skittelette is at least as much fun as painting it. MoYou Stamping Plates are artistic in their own right, especially those that go with one picture full of interwoven patterns vs those individual patches of etched spots (which are awesome by them too by the way). - Christine
