Picture Polish Borealis

Yes, me too - I snagged a bottle of the Limited Edition Picture Polish Borealis!!! We have seen plenty of swatches left and right showing off this gem and I was on the fence if I should tag along behind with my pictures but this beauty is just too mindblowing and I am feeling to proud to own a bottle of this mysterious sauce ;-)!

Borealis is a super sheer black tinted base with purple/blue shifting shimmer and turquoise and magenta smaller "glints" (I know, by now I should know all the appropriate nouns for the particles swimming in polish but frankly, I cannot seem to be able to memorize them much less remember them when writing up a post).

in the shade

you didn't think, you would get round one of my underwater shots, did you?

I applied two thin coats of Picture Polish Borealis over A England Camelot. The consistency is just wonderful - it flows evenly and easy on the nails. I have to admit I sometimes have issues with those effect toppers as one nail appears sheerer while others turn out to densely covered. Not so with Borealis (or any of the other effect toppers by Picture Polish). It dries quickly to a slightly dulled finish. I brought some gloss onto my gallons with Glisten&Glow HK Girl.

Final thoughts: Picture Polish released an insane collection of effect toppers and Borealis is breathtakingly beautiful - no? Next I have to try it over purple - I have dark purple jelly in mind…

I ordered Picture Polish Borealis with their own website.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!

    1. You should - it is so easy, I just use a clear Tupper Ware Box on my window sill - no hand Yoga in a vase or so for me ;-P! Thank you - and I can totally hear you, I sometimes catch myself how I ogle my nails lost in thought because either water or sun hit them in just the right angle to throw a new view at me - LOL <3

    1. You did not get it? I was sure you would dive head first for it after having gotten Aurora. But to be very, very, very honest here - I think Aurora is a smidgen more special - thank you love <3

  3. Every single picture I've seen of this polish has been stunning, and yours are so too! I love the color shift that appears mostly prominently in shade and underwater shots. This really is a gorgeous polish. :)

  4. Wow. I have very light-sensitive eyes, and pic #3 literally has me squinting from the glowing brightness. Land sakes, it looks like an oil painting on steroids!!! Your underwater shot is magical. <3

    1. Hahaha thank you Melissa - I wondered myself what made Borealis so color intense - on the other hand I understand why this is LE. I have to admit, I think the color overload results from my iPhone gone bonkers over Borealis - just like me ;-) <3
