My Indie Brands of the moment: Girly Bits Hot Shot

Girly Bits is not new on the Indie Brand stage and certainly well known among Indie Brand fans. I myself got hooked upon her polishes last year when I started to amass her Seasonal Collections. For Valentine's Day Girly Bits released three über cute colors, two holos (one lilac, one pink) and one glitter. I picked just the pink (yes, your eyes don't play tricks, I ventured into pink) holo Hot Shot:

the above picture is taken indoors in daylight, the below outdoors in the shade

To start out I applied two coats of Girly Bits Hot Shot over Fnug Aqua Base Coat. The holo is very soft and not always visible but it look at how sweet and squishy the color looks in the shade!!! I love it. The formula is a dream and just glides on the nails. Especially during winter I came to like the soft holos as their base color looks so much nicer compared to the strong Fnug or Layla holos which may look flat and even unattractive if not played out in the sun.

What about adding a third coat? Let's see:

I added a third coat to my ring and index finger - while not terribly different it really shows some more substance. To complete the mani here another picture of all fingers painted with three coats of Girly Bits Hot Shot:

Final thoughts: I definitively will wear Hot Shot with three coats, it just adds depth and dimension and also strengthens the holo effect. While Valentines Day has already vanished in the past Hot Shot is a lovely spring hue and I look forward to wearing it a lot come spring and summer!!!

Why I love Girly Bits: Pam releases small but concise Collections, for example her Seasonal launches of 4 polishes that are themed for the months is an awesome idea. The versatility of polishes offered are wonderful - we have (of course) the glitters, we have the wonderful Top Coat Secret Sauce, then we got some jelly with shimmer in Cu Blu or this soft holos as shown here in Hot Shot. I was very pleased with the quality in ANY of the polishes I tried.

Have you lately ventured into banished polish land, like me doing a pink here?

I ordered Girly Bits Hot Shot with Harlow & Co. Katie ships internationally and if your order sum exceeds Can$ 50.00 it comes with free shipping!!!

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
