Emily de Molly Black Forest

When Llarowe launched Emily de Molly the first time round, I snatched Black Forest. I simply had to have this polish since I live close by the German Black Forest (just in case there is more than one out there).

I applied two coats of Emily de Molly Black Forest over one coat of A England Camelot. Application was rather easy since this polish is so ladden with glitter, I just had to dab very few extra pieces on the one or the other nail.  I used A England the Knight Base Coat and Butter London Hardwear Top Coat.

And because this polish is so incredibly unique another photo. I am sorry for the crappy look of my cuticles but I was in the middle of a cleaning frenzy at home and had to run some errands outside. I looked down at my hands, nearly fell over and just snapped away this photo. And this is what it looked like on an overcast day - I cannot even begin to imagine what this might look in the sun....

Final thoughts: an extrordinary polish that is totally unique in my stash. I was very pleased with the formula, the quality of the glitter and the effortless application.

What was the last polish you bought because of the name?

I ordered Emily de Molly Black Foret with Llarowe .

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  1. This one is waiting in my stash, too.

I bought 3/4 of the OPI Skyfall collection because of their names. If it weren't a Bond collection, I might have bought one or two...

  3. I've heard such good things about this brand! This is so pretty! And clearly I need this, too, because my ancestors hailed from the Black Forest area. And apparently (so I'm told, anyway) my name's spelling is indicative of that region, too. Oh, and nice last shot! Sometimes I hnk colors look prettier in the shade-- glossier, more vivid, you know?

    1. Thank you Liesl :-) Your name jumped out to me because of its familiarity immediately ;-) I have tried only this polish so far, two more are cueing ;-). You are right, I also observed that some colors just look at their best in the shade

I don't think I've bought any polish because of the name...
