Mentality Brute

Mentality is a totally new to me brand that I discovered just the other week with my nail polish online and since I really want to expand my nail polish horizon, I headed straight over to Harlow & Co to explore their range of colors. Being a lover of all things blue it is no big surprise that Brute went into my shopping cart instantly.

Brute is a matte vibrant blue like - OMG it is so unique, I cannot even think of an apt comparison…






I applied two coats of Mentality Brute over my regular Base Coat. Let me tell you - this formula is superb - read creamy, pigmented, goes on like velvet, each brushstroke is a pleasure to paint!!! And I haven't even started on the consistency - we all know how unforgiving matte polishes can be in showing off any, really any, imperfections of your nails. Not so with Brute - not only looks the finish like velvet, the thicker consistency melts the else visible irregularities away and while Brute is not totally self leveling I am happy to finally have found a brand doing a more forgiving matte polish - thank you Mentality!!!! Once you apply a shiny Top Coat Brute comes alive in the sun - it looks like glimmer in a deep dark blue liquid.

Final thoughts: I just love Mentality Brute in matte - so unique, so classy and a deep glowing color intensity. When worn shiny it certainly is very pretty too, but the blue does not appear as unique as in matte - but this is just my personal view.

    HOLY SMOKES this is absolutely fuhreaking gorgeous! And a matte that's forgiving of imperfections-- I'm so sold. I need this in my life, sis. Amazing review and for the record, it is quite stunning with a topcoat but compared to that velvety matte finish... seriously swooning over here ♥♥♥♥♥
