ILNP Music Box and ILNP Princeton

I round up the review of my picks of the ILNP Spring Collection with another double post. Today I have Music Box - a lovely aqua linear holo and Princeton, it's soft green pal for you.

ILNP Music Box is a soft light aqua blue that has some hints of turquoise in it and comes with a soft linear holo. Also Music Box has a rather soft linear holo and while it is not eye searing in the sun, it is still visible indoors and in the shade.

indoors in daylight:

I applied three thin coats of ILNP Music Box over my regular Base Coat. The formula is sheer and not overly pigmented. In order to avoid polish pools (nope - no flooding) I preferred to apply thin coats and rather go for a third one. Since there is no polish dragging you can basically just paint all of those three coats one after the other without waiting minutes in between.

Princeton has a soft, beautiful mint leaning base color filled with delicate and soft linear holo. In the indoor picture you can see that Princeton as well has golden shimmer that is not as prominent as in Cutie Pop though:

I applied three thin coats of ILNP Princeton over my regular base coat. The formula is the sheerest of the bunch I showed you but nevertheless easily buildable. The consistency is fabulous - so easy to apply, I just love that sort of nail sauce ;-)!

I wanted to compare these two pretties as well:

Pinkie and middle: three thin coats of Princeton, ring and index: three thin coats of Music Box

Well, here the difference is plain visible -  and in my view they are different enough to justify owning them both.

Final thoughts: I am reminded of my beloved aqua shades of last spring - Butter London Poole or Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu but amped up with holo and shimmer. Overall I just love the holo polishes that ILNP released for Spring!!! And with the exception of Kings & Queens a perfect set of soft Spring colors that got holofied - well done ILNP, well done!!!

I ordered ILNP Music Box and Princeton with their own webshop here.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  4. Great swatch and I always love comparisons like this. Both polishes looked so fresh and spring like. Maybe I feel slightly more in need on Princeton with it's minty shade, it felt so unique some how :D

  6. These new ILNP polishes truly are the epitome of spring!!! I have been wanting Princeton since I first saw it...somewhere. :D Like Melissa said, why can't we just have ALLLLL the polishes?! ;) Pretty much every polish I see on your fantastic blog is one more I wish I had! hehe It's crazy how different and diverse each of our collections are. Thank you for confirming I NEED Princeton at some point. :) I love how you showed the two side by side - it helps to make the color difference very clear, and they're both so beautiful on you!

    1. Thank you sweet friend!!! I do like our versatility as well and how we can admire the others choices and get inspired by them!!! The holos of this collection (these I ordered) are jaw dropping! While I am glad, I took both of them, I also give Princeton a hairfine preference over Music Box ;-)! Glad you find my comparison helpful xxx
