Valentine, not so Valentine week: Pahlish Lullaby Without End and Pahlish The Ghost Shift

Phalish and  are members of the late Dr Who Collection and were released back in January. I have never seen Dr. Who and am not familiar with the series or the figures so I save you from my poor knowledge and will just talk polish here - OK?

First up again the red polish - Pahlish Lullaby Without End. I don't find it particularly Valentine-esque but it is fun, edgy and joyful - why not reach for such a glitter for Valentine's Day? Lullaby Without End is a quite pigmented blue toned red base filled with blue and silver glitter.

I applied two coats of Lullaby Without End over my regular Base Coat. The formula was quite easy to work with - just the density of the glitter combined with the near cream formula gave it a tendendy to lump (but then maybe this is my bottle only). Especially in the above picture you can see the bumpiness remaining due to the sunken glitter. And this is at two layers of Top Coat - go figure the original state - my nails were like an old side track road in the country side. Dry time was fast and the overall behaviour quite well.

And then there is The Ghost Shift - HOLY NAILPOLISH - this is my absolute favorite from the Dr. Who Collection so far. A steel grey base with an IN-SANE linear rainbow holo - don't be fooled by the demure appearance in the first couple of pictures!

Now here we talk Pahlish-formula - I applied two coats of The Ghost Shift over my regular Base Coat. The first coat went on shear but was opaque enough for my taste after the second coat. Dry time is spectacularly fast and using Glitter Gal Gloss Boss Top Coat did not diminish the holo effect at all.

Final thoughts: Out of the above two Pahlish The Ghost Shift clearly is my favorite. Just looking at the Bigcartel site and after finally ordering it, at the bottle never gave me the idea that it can be all THAT spectacular. With Lullaby Without End I am honestely a bit on the fence. It is a pity that the base of my bottle comes so pigmented that the very pretty glitter color combination gets lost. But since they are handmixed I could imagine that another bottle might behave quite differently. Still it is a very happy and fun polish, especially for the middle of winter.

I order my Pahlish polishes with their own Bigcartel site here.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!
Christine
