Pahlish Tenderest Touch and Darkest of Marks

Also this week I devote my posts to an Indie Brand. Pahlish has become a favorite of mine quickly. My dear Blogger friend Melissa from the Lacquer Reverie has ignited the spark with her post of Pahlish Continually Smoldering - you can see her post here. Somehow those polishes seem to go more often than not unnoticed - well we do know there are some Pahlish out there that became quite well known in the world of Indie nail polish: Pianos Filled With Flames, My Oblivion to name two only. But Pahlish has to offer so much more I hope you will enjoy my posts!!!

Pahlish releases monthly Limited Edition Duos consisting of a cream polish interspersed with fine and micro glitter and a glitter topper. They are available for the duration of the respective month and then until the stash is sold-out. Tenderest Touch and Darkest of Marks was the duo for September. First up Tenderest Touch - a beautiful mauveish cream holding tiny black and magenta (shifting to copper) glitter particles.

I applied two coats of Pahlish Tenderest Touch over Essence Nail Hardening Base. The formula is excellent and while it is not super pigmented, it covers awesomely in two coats. Tenderest Heart is such a pleasure to apply, it exactly goes where you want it to. It dries quickly to a slightly dull and gritty finish, I therefore finished the look with one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Coat.

Darkest of Marks is the glitter Top Coat that comes in this duo. Clear based it holds small hex glitter in magenta and square and even smaller glitter in orange that shifts to copper - I actually detected two different shades of orange but I couldn't be sure if there are more or if my eyes fooled me.

I applied one coat of Pahlish Darkest of Marks over Tenderest Touch. I had to dab on some glitter on one or the other bald spot but it mostly spread easy and nice over the nails. Also Darkest of Marks dries quickly and lays nice and flat on the nail. I added some gloss with Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Coat.

Knowing my readers, I thought I also show you the duo mattified with Essie Matte About You:

Isn't this awesome??? I liked every version of this duo, the base Tenderest Touch on its own, topped with Darkest of Marks be it glossy or matte - just perfect.

The duo is sold out unfortunately but there are two new duos available on the Pahlish Bigcartel e-shop here.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine
