I have to admit the polishes offered are very much to my liking - they have crellies, duo chromes, multi chromes, glass flecks, holos (which has become a must it seems) to choose from, in short my favorites. And to kick-off this brand on my Blog I show you Immortal Game today - a turquoise crelly filled with pink glass flecks. On their Etsy site they call Immortal Game teal and that the glass flecks would shift to gold. Well maybe due to the lighting I took the pictures I found the polish to be more turquoise and the shift to gold on the very, very shy side. But then I find colors appear different in the eye of the beholder, so...
The above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photos outdoors in the sun
I applied two coats of Indigo Bananas Immortal Game over Essence Nail Strengthener. At first it appears to be sheer (it is a crelly after all) - but I was so impressed how opaque the mani turned upon painting the second coat. Now you COULD get a tad worried when you let your bottle sit for a day and picking it up you find most of the glass flecks clubbing at the bottom of your bottle. But I find it noteworthy that Immortal Game is my easiest ever mixing polish. You give it a couple of good shakes and those particles float airily through the bottle as if they never ever did anything else - you can see in my pictures how evenly they are distributed over all nails. The dry time is not extremely fast but OK.
I just had to play with Top Coats and look at a mattified finish versus glossy versus plain:
Ring: mattified with Essie Matte About You, middle: Essence Better Than Gel Nails High Gloss Top Sealer, index: no Top Coat. Below a close-up in case you would like to inspect the differences at more detail.
Final thoughts: Indigo Bananas has some really noteworthy polishes and so far I am pleased with their range of shades and finishes offered, their customer service and the performance of their polishes. I shopped on their Etsy site here and when I entered this very link I think I discovered already four new shades that were not there last time I visited!!! For many of the polishes mini sized bottles are available holding 8 ml - they come at 15 ml in the normal size. I appreciate those smaller bottles because hands down - I have so many polishes, chances are small that I will empty out any ever.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine
Very pretty! I really like this one :) Your photos show off the dimension so well.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much and I am so glad that I was able to capture all those facettes of this polish!!! I tried it next to the KBShimmer Tail Another Teal but I have to admit the KBShimmer has more "substance" if you know what I mean - still it is a lovely polish xxx
DeleteI haven't tried this brand yet but I've been wanting for quite a while, I really like their duochromes..at least from what I've seen from pictures. Immortal game was cool too but I have to say that glass-flecks is not my favorite amongst all finishes available, it's okay but don't makes my heart beat harder.
ReplyDeleteHi my dear, thank you so much :-)!!! The duochromes are really pretty I hope I can show some soon..... ;-) <3
DeleteThis is sooo pretty! Wow...those pink glass flecks in the turquoise make it look like a fantastical mermaid's lagoon. <3 I don't have anything by IB, but everything I've seen is just gorgie. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa, you know what I like particularly? That we always show stuff the other doesn't know or own, I find this makes it so much fun and interesting!!! And thank you - oh gosh a mermaids lagoon - how totally sweet..... and the beach would have golden pebbles and we could have that beautiful vampy polish with the copper pennies you showed as cocktails and..../
