Opi the Man with the Golden Gun

I hope those of my dear readers who celebrate Christmas enjoyed a happy and joyous Holiday among their loved ones!!!

My beloved hubby sponsored two awesome polishes as Christmas gift for me, that I would never have considered buying myself <3 <3 <3

First up Opi the Man with the Golden Gun from Opi's Skyfall Collection. I honestly was on the fence about the trend of Gold Flake Top Coat, but just until I had applied The Man with the Golden Gun to my first nail.

I applied two coats of Opi Road House Blues as base, applied one coat of Opi the Man with the Golden Gun and dabbed some flakes on the empty spots. Drop!Dead!Gorgeous! - I am afraid you will see a lot more of this polish soon here ;-)!!!

Base Coat: Essie Fill the Gap, Top Coat: Poshe

Have you joined the bandwagon of gold flake Top Coats yet? If so, which one(s) did you get?

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  1. I did get The Man With The Golden Gun, too. I actually wore it for Christmas over red and green (tomorrow's blogpost)

  2. I just love blue and gold together! I've been on the fence about the gold flakie topcoat, too, though... I think it would be so luxe and just fun to have and certainly to wear, but it's honestly more than I've ever spent on a polish (at least this iteration is... it's $30 here in the States). But seriously... awesome gift. Good job to your hubby :) :)

    1. Hi Liesl - thank you :-)!!! I agree, the price tag is steep, even steeper in Switzerland. It was approx. USD 50.00 - cough :-S. I would not pay as much out of my own wallet, therefore a perfect gift. We pay a lot for nailpolish here with only about five brands below USD 10: Essence, Catrice, Flomar, Nyx and hopefully a fifth brand. For any Essie or China Glaze it is USD 20, Revlon over USD 10 and regular Opi USD 25. Hence I am a good customer of Transdesign and Head2Toe ;-)

    2. Holy smokes! Well, huzzah for reliable distributors. And I was just complainig about OPI raising their prices here by $0.50. Catrice is awesome, though, I'm lucky to have one.
