This week I picked some truly wonderful polishes to wear:
First was Impala Look do Dia for Monday. I joined the support of many other nail polish bloggers to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer. The formula of Look do Dia was on the sheer side but built up nicely and was opaque in 2 coats. I used China Glaze Ridge Filler as Base Coat and no Top Coat to not diminish the metallic finish.
Then I choose Dior Amazonia. I am in love with this polish, perfect colour, perfect formula. I even got used to the somewhat short, wide and a tad sturdy brush of the Dior polishes. These are 2 easy coats. Base Coat from Illamasqua, Hardwear Topcoat from Butter London.
My friend at work then suggested I should use Color Club Port-Folio next. This is insanely "duochromy" shifting from purple to green. Formula a bit thin but very easy to work with and opaque in 2 coats. I applied it using very light and quick strokes to prevent any brushstrokes. I experienced quite some polish overload on the brush, but nothing that could not be handled with careful application. I used China Glaze Ridge Filler as Base Coat and Essie Good to Go as Top Coat.
Returning home from work on Thursday, I found Harlow & Co's nail mail containing my anxiously awaited KB Shimmers. Arrrgh, what an agony to decide which one to wear first.... Don't Teal Anyone made it. It was a dream to apply. The glitter spread nice and evenly onto the nail. What I liked in particular that Don't Teal Anyone is not so much into your face that it would not be office appropriate. These are 2 flawless coats over Essie Fill the Gap. I used Essie Good to Go as Top Coat.
All pictures taken indoors in artificial light - the weather was too lousy and dull to get any decent outdoor photos. Oh well...
Purchase info: I received Impala Look do Dia as a gift from my wonderful sister in polish, I bought Dior Amazonia at a local department store. I ordered Color Club Port-Folio with Transdesign and KB Shimmer Don't Teal Anyone with Harlow & Co.
