Dance Legend Anna Gorelova Zmei Gorinich

Looking back at the month of May Dance Legend clearly takes the lead of my list of favorites of the month, I wore no less than 8 (in words E.I.G.H.T.) of their creations. Recently Llarowe launched Dance Legend's Anna Gorelova polishes and of course I had to try the one or the other (I got two of them to be precise).  Anna Gorelova is a famous Ukrainian Blogger who collaborated with Dance Legend to create 12 indeed very pretty and unique shades. Sadly I cannot read her blog as it is written in kyrilic letters but I love to ogle her pictures, they are beautiful.

Today I have Zmei Gorinich from her line - a black jelly filled with green, yellow, red and blue flakies. Now I do like jellies in general (I think red, pink and soft shades here) but in black? Nope, not my pot of polish, on my nails a black jelly will always keep a slight tinge to dark brown that I find less than attractive.

and mattified with one coat of Mentality Polish Matte Top Coat

I applied one coat of Dance Legend Anna Gorelova Zmei Gorinich over one coat of Cult Nails Nevermore.  The consistency is superb exactly the right balance of base and flakies. It is while thin not runny and spreads perfectly even on the nail. Dry time is slow. I achieved the best results if waiting until Zmei Gorinich was tacky-dry before applying a fast drying Top Coat. Add another 15 minutes and I found the mani to be reasonably dry to not smudge and dent at minimal use of hands.

Final thoughts: For sure, I could have added another coat of Dance Legend Anna Gorelava Zmei Gorinich (oh my, this name is hard to type) but I quite liked the discret spark of a flakie here and there.

I ordered Dance Legend Anna Gorelova Zmei Gorinich with Llarowe.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  1. I love the colorful flakies peeking out from the dark depth... it's really beautiful! And mattifying it makes the flakies stand out even more! In terms of black jellies having a less than black color, maybe applying a black creme first would help that? Hope you're having a wonderful weekend, my dear! <3

    1. Awww thank you Yun! I should have opted for two coats of ZG (cannot remember this name properly for the sake of my life). And I actually layered it over a black cream - I have to get myself a black jelly though, I am sure then it would look perfect <3

  2. Hi pet! I think this looks awesome!! Ok, not very summerish but so very cool still! Does this collection come in special bottles? This is not the ordinary DL bottle. I think I like it more shiny than matte this time :) Have a great evening! I'm totally exhausted after this working weekend… Viele Küsschen!!! xxx

    1. Hi doll - thank you xxx!!! Poor you - but loved the picture of your Clematis. OK on to polish talk: yes this line comes in special bottles and they hold less polish for more money (price like the super prisms or whatever the name of that line is). I like the shiny version better too - and if I am completely honest: DL has an awesome Flakie called Orlando - slap this over black and it looks better than this one - viele Küsschen xxx

  3. This is a stunning. I must admit I've been thinking about buying some Anna Gorelova polishes too! I'll wait until my recent DL order arrives. I really like this both glossy and matte!

I like her site too - I don't usually translate it, just drool over the photos ;-)
