Pahlish Castle by the Sea Duo - May 2014

Castle by the Sea, the monthly duo by Pahlish for May is totally aquatic - theme and color wise!! The base color - Lone Island - is  as per Pahlish a dusty robin's egg blue crème with a mix of three different blue micro flake shimmers. I could not resist copying the description from their Bigcartel site, it is too lovely. But don't get fooled by the choice of the adjective "dusty". The color is while soft still glowing and intense. Dawn Treader is the glitter topper. It is clear based and holds glitters from tiny to mid size in about three different shades of turquoise and teal and some medium sized matte pale aqua blue hexes.

Pahlish Lone Island on its own

I applied three thin coats of Pahlish Lone Island over Butter London Patent-Gel Base Coat. Another soft shade stunner by Pahlish. It applies nearly even and has excellent self leveling qualities and dries fast. Dawn Treader releases all of its glitters willingly and it is a pleasure to spread them on the nails - they lay nice and flat!!!

Final thoughts: I hope you haven't yet tired of reading my praises of Pahlish polishes - Castle by the Sea Duo for May is no exception - I am so smitten by the base color Lone Island - swoon, I reapplied it immediately again after swatching ;-)!!!

I ordered Pahlish Castle by the Sea Duo - May 2014 with their own Bigcartel shop here. The monthly Duos are only available during the respective month of their release and with Pahlish exclusively. Once the stock is sold-out in the following month it is gone for good.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for dropping by!!!

    1. I have to admit, the base polish on its own is my favorite, the glitter is nice enough but this soft blue, sigh…. Thank you hon <3

    1. Thank you Ananka - I also love Lone Island on its own a lot, the glitter is nice enough but if push comes to shove the base has my vote ;-)

  4. Oh my, the combination's just wonderful, but I also love Lone Island by itself. The soft blue is just to die for! Both ways of wearing it looks amazing on you! :)

    1. Thank you dear Yun! This blue really hit score for me too - it doesn't seem all that unique at first glance but honestly I don't have amything as cute and pretty in my stash. The glitter is a nice suplement so to say that looks also so pretty over white or a midtoned blue xxx
