Picture Polish Rocky Horror Picture Show Magenta

I definitely have enough, no more than enough vampy creams, crellies, jellies. But still, I cannot deny myself another one every other month or so it seems. Well, here my excuse is clearly printed on the bottle - it is part of Picture Polish' Rocky Horror Picture shades! Magenta is a touch to brown leaning vampy dark red crelly that while always at its vampiliscious best never looks black:

I applied two effortless coats of Picture Polish Magenta over my Base Coat. Ahhh I just cannot get over those crelly formulas the girls from Picture Polish came up with. It is simply perfect in every aspect and yet is opaque in two coats, even if you do your nails in a rush and cannot take the time to place brushstroke by brushstroke. The dry time is fantastically fast and the high shine insane.  - and I used a different Base Coat this time. I swear, the application seems even easier than with my previously tried Base Coat - read: the formula is simply awesome in pigmentation, self leveling, pigmentation and consistency. You get away without any clean-up even!

Final thoughts: This is already the second time I wear Picture Polish Magenta within one week - something that hardly happens these days given my pile of untrieds and says it all, no? I posted the below photo on Instagram earlier this week (I am @mausishuffle) which I took in the rest room of my office floor:

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!

  1. That's good about the formula and application :-) It certainly is a deep vampy colour. Looks good on you :-)

  2. Ha! You and me both, sis. I can only talk myself out of another vampy wine color for so long before one finds its way into my loving arms, lol. I don't blame you one bit for wearing this twice this week-- it's such a gorgeous, satisfying shade to wear. It does, from brand to brand, seem to be one of the more user friendly shades out there, too. As for the movie, I'm not sure I've ever watched it the whole way through-- I think it's one of those things I just don't get, lol.

    1. LOL thank you sis - indeed, and we probably consider those vampy wine colors as much a staple as the famous white T-Shirt! I seem to remember though the days when the formulas were not yet all that easy and having worked myself through uncountable bottles of Rouge Noir back in the nineties I seem to remember some quite messy paint jobs. I have never watched the movie at home - always in a theatre. It is one of those things that gets dull and flat in your living room and only works in a mass of silly people. As for the whole concept - I did not get it either but throwing rice and wearing vampy lipstick was a blast ;-)

  3. I like it! However I don't know if I would have called it magenta. For me magenta is more a mix of pink and purple and mostly bright and neon..but I'm no pro in name:ing colors so I can be wrong of course. Here I think more of "plum", however you look great in the color and I don't think you ever should deny your self from buying these shades..a girl can never have too many polishes. ;)

    1. Hi Gelic, I agree, the name of the polish has nothing to do with its color but the character out of Rocky Horror Picture Show - Magenta wears her lips very vampilicious so this is where the name comes from. Hahaha thank you for the blessing re the number of polishes - there are too many pretty ones out there xxx
