NCLA Laurel Canyon Lolita

As mentioned in my post on Monday, I went for all four new shades of the latest NCLA collection North of Sunset. Staying true to my theme of the week for autumn creams I show you today their second cream shade of that collection named Laurel Canyon Lolita. ??? now what the heck is that name supposed to mean??? - back from some googling and some Wikipedia education I understand that Laurel Canyon is located in the Santa Monica Mountains in California and has been referred to in a couple of movies and books. There is also a namesake movie released in 2002 which I haven't seen though. Lolita stands for the sexiness this polish is attributed with (as per NCLA's own website) - now let's look how hot it looks on my nails:



I applied two coats of Laurel Canyon Lolita over Essence XXL Nail Thickener (of which I haven't found any bottles in the racks since about four weeks - I hope it hasn't been taken from the Essence product palette….). The polish applies easily, the formula is a bit thin. It spreads easily on the nail and I got the best results if applied in thinner coats (thin formula + polish loaded brush = FLOODING on the nail). Another real asset is the quick drying time.

Final thoughts: I am really happy with the two NCLA creams and find both colors unique enough to spend more bucks on it. With Laurel Canyon Lolita (oh my, this name just doesn't flow easily from my fingers to the keyboard). Laurel Canyon Lolita REALLY is such a shade changer like shown in my pictures - just in case you wonder…….

    This is gorgeous! It does kind of have a mouthful of a name though...:) It's sort of vampy "lite", LOL. :D
