Elevation Tuesday: Ave Secretan

For sure I also have a cream in stash for Elevation Tuesday. This is Ave Secretan from the Butt Chaumont Collection. Avenue Secretan is located in the 19th Arrondissement in Paris and was named after Joseph Secretan, a major-colonel fighting against the troops of Napoleon in 1815. The name of this polish - Ave Secretan - reminds me also of what my profession used to be called some decades ago: Secretary - these days I am a Personal Assistant. Still, my work hasn't changed by its means, just the gadgets and my daily routine has become electronified.  - I am Miss Moneypenny of the 21st century. So if I want to feel very Miss Moneypenny Ave Secretan will be a perfect adornment for my nails being the darkest possible, red leaning pink yet vivid.

I applied two coats of Ave Secretan over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. The formula is immaculate, application a pleasure, dry time normal. Already the first coat applies evenly and squishy and for those who would like to go with a lighter do it might be sufficient. I however prefer the more opaque and saturated two coats.  Now as for the picture: I was totally unable to catch a color appropriate picture of Ave Secretan - I had to cheat the camera when taking the picture and still, the color would me a smidgen darker than in the above photo. This was the ONLY picture that turned out close - in IRL the color was a smidgen darker, but as intense and red leaning pink as shown above.

Final thoughts: a very classical shade and therefore appropriate to wear any day or occasion or season in my eyes. And I agree, maybe not the most unique. Still I love the immaculate formula and the polished and refined look it provides. As mentioned in the beginning - a perfect shade for Miss Moneypenny (if she doesn't prefer pearly pinks that is ;-P).

I ordered Elevation Polish Ave Secretan with their own website here. On that site you can find detailed restock and shipping information.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting and bearing with me showing a bit a tricky to photograph polish today!!!

  8. Hi Miss Moneypenny! haha, how fun to read your post. I love this kind of berry reds. In fact my collection is overloaded of berry-reds, and not so much of true reds. Which is a total contradiction because naturally warm-based reds suit my skintone better :P but what can you do when you love a colour??
This one looks perfect on you! biosus ma belle, xxx
