NCLA The Spa Comes To Me

This week I would like to show you my picks of creams for fall. To kick off the week I not only show you a new cream in my stash but also a new brand to my stash: Last week Pshiiit Boutique launched NCLA nailpolishes in her shop - Camille offered the Nailwraps from NCLA for a while already - and I took a dive into getting their latest collection North of Sunset and graced my self with all four polishes. Today I have a The Spa Comes To Me - a muted, greyed out army green.

The above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photo outside in the rain (grrr) - the color is accurate in all pictures - it changes subtly depending on the light looking showing its grey tinge a bot more or less.

I applied two coats of The Spa Comes To Me over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. I found the application easy. The brush is soft and spreads nicely over the nail. The formula is thickish and very pigmented which results in not too even coats right after painting. Much to my delight I was nearly able to see how the The Spa Comes To Me levelled itself to an even finish. Still, two coats are recommended to get that even, glossy result. Dry time is on the fast side and that shine is incredible, no? Please note - NO TOP COAT HERE!!!

Final thoughts: Finally I found a military green that is cool enough to actually complement my skin rather than turning my fingers into piggy claws. On top of that The Spa Comes to Me is a great canvas for sooooo many simple decorating gadgets - I think studs, Nail Tattoos, glitter in gold, copper, silver - the options are vast. Still the price is steep and - despite their new collection - I haven't seen anything that is so unique that I would not be able to find a more affordable dupe or at least resembling shade from another brand. However, NCLA seems to start moving big and has become available at international e-tailers like Harlow & Co. Pshiiit Boutique sends only to limited number of countries.  One thing is for sure - I will keep a close eye on their next collections ;-)

I purchased NCLA The Spa Comes To Me with Pshiiit Boutique.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

    1. Thank you Essie - that Opi is really an outstandingly beeautiful polish - I got Zoya Bevin which I believe is quite smilar. Comparing this NCLA with Bevin, it seems to me that the NCLA would have less blueish undertones and more military - if you know what I mean ;-)
