I came to really like the Depend polishes and I was super exited that Jezz packed two of them into her package to me. Depend Nr. 254 is a dusty blue/teal that covers beautifully in one coat - just perfect either for a quick mani when left with no time or as base for glitter:
This is just one coat of Depend Nr. 254 over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. The application was very easy and drying time not super fast but decent. BUT I have to say, that IRL the blue is a tad more dusty, teal leaning.
Jezz remembered me being totally over the moon about Gina Tricot Heavenly Stars that she showed a while back and look what I got:
Yes, this is Gina Tricot Heavenly Stars. and the application is as heavenly as its name. The glitter is suspended in a clear base - I leave it to you to start guessing how many coats might be needed to get this baby opaque on its own - for sure they're too many for me, so I will not get bothered.
The application is really excellent. The consistency is not too thick or thin and the amount of glitter is dense but not packed - I think the pictures do the trick and really show what you get. Of course Heavenly Stars dries down a bit gritty but given the small size of the glitter I was fine with applying only one layer of regular Top Coat.
Final thoughts: Gina Tricot Heavenly Stars is really a versatile and beautiful glitter. This, and its easy application and great formula would make Heavenly Stars the glitter I would take along for vacation (I can go without make-up, but bare nails??? Shudder, shudder). I can imagine how pretty this would look over a myriad of colors and therefore I would have multiple "outfits" for my nails without hauling dozens of bottles around.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
