RBL Scrangie

First things first: Yes this is a discontinued shade - I normally don't show any of them here - what point is there in the first place to show it now? Like a couple of Blogger friends I more often then not agonize over neglecting older polishes that I have not worn in ages but once considered the most beautiful ones out there but they just stay tucked away in the drawer because there are always so many gorgeous new releases nearly every other week!!

RBL Scrangie certainly qualifies for the above. This was my first EVER RBL nailpolish (I think I ordered Bangin along with it) and I still remember how proud I considered myself of owning this beauty - and then the one and the other collection was released and Scrangie suffered the same fate as so many others....

But just look at this beauty:




I applied two coats of RBL Scrangie over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. My memory did not trick me -the formula is not bad but not the easiest to work with either. I have to admit that this Essence Base Coat I almost always use makes the application of the majority of polishes a breeze and remembering how much I struggled with Scrangie previously, I have to admit this Essence Base Coat really makes a BIG difference.

    I thought about getting this one, and never did. It looks really pretty and unique.

      Hi Essie, aww thank you, I NEARLY forgot about it over all the other gems I hoarded since buying this but in my eyes it remains something very unique and special :-)

    I like this a lot...and I might be in the minority, but to me it's much prettier than the new Scrangie 2.0. :/ Beautiful pics, as usual! :)

      Hi Melissa, thank you dear xxx!!! And I shily whistle the same tune, I am not smitten by Scrangie 2.0 and gladly hang on to the first. But I am sure there will be plenty of ladies who fall in love with Scrangie 2.0 and I look forward to seeing it on their nails and stick to mine ;-)

    It's beautiful! Have you got Depend 313? They say it's pretty close to this one, but I don't have Scrangie so I can't compare :D

      Hi Yun, thank you :-D!!! Oh I tell you, I was on the tip of my toes when I orderded that one, I was still a nailpolish rookie and felt all smug and proud - LOL!!! To the day Scrangie remains totally unique and a stand-out in my collection ;-)
