Saturday Skittelette featuring Picture Polish Sky

I really was in a mood for a very girly Skittelette this week (OMG so rare with me - LOL). And I was so smitten by Picture Polish Sky that I wanted to use it once more this week.

Ingredients:

From left: Opi Honey Ryder, Opi Tiffany, Picture Polish Sky, Picture Polish Fairy Floss

And I found it was time for another dotticure:

Recipe:
Pinkie: one coat of Opi Honey Ryder
Ring and middle: two coats of Picture Polish Sky, dots with Opi Honey Ryder and Opi Tiffany
Index: two coats of Picture Polish Fairy Floss

I admittedly went a bit crazy with all those blue dots but I could not seem to stop - LOL!!! I like the soft overall look and I this is for once a Skittelette that would be office appropriate :-).

Final thoughts: I love to do dots with Opi Liquid Sand polishes - they are perfect for this: quite pigmented, excellent formula and an extra effect with the sparkle.

I wonder - do you wear Skittelettes or nailart for work? I can easily get away with a Skittelette as shown today or some "soft" nailart but I feel that I need to reign myself somewhat when it comes to very blingy or colorful Skittelettes - I just feel it a tad inappropriate.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

Christine

  1. Hi pet! What a pretty skittelette!! I love the soft colors and there can never be too many dots ;) Lol!
I can wear what ever I want for work on my nails! :D In my job it's the crazier the better! LOL! The more vivid nails I wear the better and more creative florist people think I am! ;) I feel very lucky to be able to wear what I want on my nails actually. I know many polish lovers can't do that.
I really must try a dotticure with textured polishes!! :D Sounds great!
Hope you are having a great day love! I'm preparing for next week ;) Viele Küsschen!!! xxx

    1. Hi doll, haha, when typing this question I thought of you and frankly envied you for this a little bit ;-)!!! It is not too bad at my place and luckily I did not get anything beyond - oh not enough polish to paint all your nails with the same one? Have a lovely start of the week and Knuffel for Smilla and viele, viele Küsschen xxx

  2. I'm lucky to have a lot of freedom at work. I work in a dental office and my patients are always asking to see my weekly manicure. They all love my art!!

  3. This is so beautiful Christine! :) I love love LOVE Sky. Although I don't do nail art, I wear whatever I want to the office. I'm an accountant, but I always match my nails to my outfit (green or blue or whatever), and my boss (a guy) thinks I am always pulled together so nicely...he loves nail polish, LOL, so I'm really fortunate that he's so nice. :D

    1. Hi Melissa, thank you so much love :-)! Your boss loves nailpolish? How cool!!! I have no idea about mine. He is a devoted scientist and oblivious to appearences - my other boss is more into classic elegance - he once made a remark about preferring Chanel - I said I volunteer as "carrier" of Chanel clothes, but.... LOL!!! So when the Chanel boss is here I always try to go a bit under the radar. And I rarely match my nails to my outfit - most of the time it fits though and if it doesn't (like today) I call my style eclectic :-D!!

  4. This is so cute! You are so talented. I love the colors you chose:) As you know, I wear skittlettes, but I don't wear nail art. Not that I don't think it's appropriate, it's just not my style. But I LOVE looking at nail art :)

  7. What a lovely and sweet skittlette! As Vicky said : perfect combo! I agree with you, very bold nail art is not appropriate for work in my opinion either. I suppose that I let myself go since I work from home. But I imagine that I could not sport anything more than a sober French with a twist, or a muted skittle mani where I used to work. Bisous, xxx

    1. Salut Nati - thank you sweetie, I am so happy you like it :-)! Ah yes, in your former and my still work environment a sort of muted style is recommended. However I did get bolder and slowly people started to get used to. Right now - as long as I wear the same color on all nails - I can go for anything I want - and I indulge ;-) Bisoux xxx
