Neutral shades with an edge: Contrary Polish Play Me

You did not think that this week would pass without a polish from Contrary Polish - didn't you?

I have another gorgeous one from the Contrary Polish Love Lyrics Collection - this is Play Me:

The above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photos are taken outdoors in the shade

I applied three wonderfully smooth coats of Contrary Polish Play me over Essence XXL Nail Thickener (and yes, I forgot that this baby makes Contrary Polish shrink - but tip wrapping solved any issues). In order to make the beautiful turqoise shimmer more visible I did not apply any Top Coat here.

As with all my other polishes from the Love Lyrics Collection the consistency is on the sheer side (well, we do want to see those pretty shimmers, no?) but not runny. It is easy to control and dries within normal time. If I would have flawless nails, I might get away with two coats for opacity but to cover my ridges nicely I prefer three coats.

I ordered Contrary Polish Play me with Llarowe.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  5. This is gorgeous Christine! I love the hint of purple in this and the turquoise shimmer gives a contrast to it turning it into "strange-beautiful". So chic, so edgy!
BTW your nails look awesome! and your cuticles just perfect. how do you treat them? Mine went into a nasty state I'm having so much to do and so little time to pamper my hands :(

    1. Salut Nati, oh my, you got me blushing - thank you!!! Treatment for cuticles: Photoshop - LOL!!! But honestly since the weather got warmer my hands recovered. I use cuticle wax furiously and try to remember to use my L'Occitane Shea Butter hand cream every night. My other secret: M helps me lots with cleaning (think tons of pink hearts here) - Bisous xxx
