Contrary Polish The Way I Am

The second I saw the Love Lyrics Spring 2013 Collection by Contrary Polish I was in love. Contrary Polish once more surprised with absolutely unique polishes in their spring collection. Less exiting was my neglectence over its launch with Llarowe. By the time I remembered and went to Llarowe's site my favorites were sold out - all of them except The Way I Am.

the above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photo outdoors in the shade

I applied three thin coats over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. I did not apply any Top Coat for preventing a dominating high shine that would possibly have obscured the soft sparkle of the many magenta particles floating in The Way I Am.

The formula is a dream to work with, while the polish is a jelly the consistency is thickly and applies like a cream polish. Dry time is normal. And look how prettily The Way I Am lights up in artificial light:

Final thoughts: I just love those slightly undefinable soft shades. Contrary Polish The Way I Am is the right mixture between a bit off the edge and avantgarde-esque while still office appropriate. As I type this I already ordered my remaining Love Lyrics polishes I had on my wishlist and they are on the way to their new home :-)

How do you like murky colors?

I ordered Contrary Polish The Way I Am with Llarowe.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  3. Pretty, pretty, sis, subtle yet sparkly. This one's truly gorgeous! The addition of the contrasting glitter makes this one, i think.
