Elevation Polish Weddell Sea - a review and a praise

Happy Monday my dear nailpolish friends! Yesterday's Skittelette featured the one and only Weddell Sea by Elevation Polish.  I was most intrigued by this insanely beautiful polish - a white cream/crelly with only a drop of two of grey in it and a dusting of finely milled holographic particles and golden shimmer. I have read that it is quite similar in the color concept like the famous OPI My Boyfriend Scales the Wall which unfortunately is not available here (well of course I COULD order it online). This is one of those rare opportunities where I already ponder about getting myself a back-up…. But let's have a look at it when worn on its own:

and this is what it looked in "everyday mode"

I applied two medium thick coats of Elevation Polish Weddell Sea over my regular Base Coat. I found the application really easy and the slight patchiness upon the first coat was nothing too worrying and got completely covered by the second coat. The dry time is really quick (well done Elevation Polish - those little gems used to need some more time to get dry in the past).

Final thoughts: I wore Elevation Polish Weddell Sea for two days which is a first for me - I never wore a nearly white polish or white polish as a full mani before :-o!!!!!

I ordered Elevation Polish Weddell Sea with their own Bigcartel Shop here.

I look forward to reading your comments - as always many thanks for your visit!!!

  1. I've been skipping over Weddell Sea in my contemplation of this collection from Elevation, but your post is making me think I need to give it some consideration. It looks lovely on you, graceful and almost silvery with a special glow to it!

    1. Awww thank you love!!! I have to admit it is the Polishaholic's "fault" of me getting this, her review was so winning me over!!! I did my ring finger in my Sunday Skittelette with it and as you can see it lacks the blending starkness of a real white - yes, I even will be buying a back-up :-o

  2. Such an elegant polish! Your nails look magical in them! I love whites and if it reminds you of My Boyfriend Scales Walls, I should definitely get it!

    1. Thank youuuu hon <3! Well it was the Polishaholic that put the comparison out there (I did go back to the net and did the research to find that statement - LOL)! And I really trust her eye and judgement, so..... Hope to see it on your nails soon ;-)

  3. Amazing nail polish! so pretty with that shimmer/glitter, I've been wanting a nearly white like this (well I wanted the OPI one, which is a simple creme) for so long, mainly for nail art purpose.
I love it on you, looks happy and summery. I'm loving your pics taken "everyday mode"!

    1. Merci ma belle! I am glad you like my sort of haphazard restroom pic - but the light in there is really good and optimal to show polish ;-)!!! What I find makes this so wearable is the stuff going on in it - I have some selfconcsiousness-issues when wearing a straight off-white or nearly white cream (yeah, I am strange - haha) - grand bisous xxx

  4. Oh my, how elegant and classic of a color this is, Christine! It looks amazing on you. I love the shimmers in there... they make the color look almost glowing. By the way, I love that "everyday mode" picture! :D

    1. Thank you dear Ananka <3!!!! The shimmer makes this color so wearable - sigh, love it.... And this is a French Connection cardi I got during the sale and I have to admit, I took it in two colors, they are so comfy and easy to combine xxx
