Black with Bling: Wing Dust Moonlight Sonata

I have only once seen swatches of Wing Dust Moonlight Sonata and was smitten - it looked everything a Moonlight Sonata might look like when the sound is captured into colors and sparks:

I applied one coat of Wing Dust Moonlight Sonata over one coat of Cult Nails Nevermore. This was another super easy glitter to apply. Again, when worn on its own you would need to get at least three coats onto your nails to get a decently opaque result - a total no-go for me, as those glitters tend to end up in thick layers which I just feel totally uncomfortable with.

Look how pretty it looks in the sun:

And Moonlight Sonata is a perfect candidate to wear matte. First up the comparison photo with two nails mattified using Essie Matte About You:

And here the total mani mattified - I just LOVE this:

For the last three Black with Bling manis I used either A England Camelot or Cult Nails Nevermore as base color. Just in order to be thorough I thought I show you a comparison of the two of them. There is no difference recognizable and one probably would have to ogle the nails under a magnifier to identify the one or the other super minimal difference. For application goes the same. So it simply ends up in either go for both or for the one that is easier available or if you have a preference for either brand.

Isn't Moonlight Sonata just drop dead gorgeous? Do you also like it mattified?

I ordered Wing Dust Moonlight Sonata with Llarowe.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  5. Just beautiful, sis, and mattifying it takes it to a whole new level of cool! Makes me want to listen to some Beethoven, lol. One of my sisters used to play the piano and she did this piece so beautifully. I hope you're having a good day ♥♥
