Rainbow Honey Mint Flavor

After having kicked off the Creme Couture mini set of Rainbow Honey with the Dotticure yesterday, let's have a look at those polishes if worn as a full mani.

First my favorite Mint Flavor. This is the most vibrant turquoise minty shade I own loaded with mini-micro shimmer in turquoise.

I applied three coats of Rainbow Honey Mint Flavor over my regular Base Coat. Formula wise this was while no major challenge certainly not your easy slap and go number. Mint Flavor wants to be applied with featherlight brushstrokes and has a knack for bald patches. Due to the shimmer the consistency has a slightly gluey quality and applying the coats too thin is calling for patchmania and too thick will result in dragging polish across your nail. A first not too thin coat and a second medium thick coat worked best for me with a couple of minutes in-between applying. The drying time was fast and much to my annoyance I found still some bald patches, hence the thin third coat. And despite going through all of the above, it did not prevent to drag some polish off the nail at my tips acting like sugar icing. Luckily it was very easy to shove the polish back into place without leaving a crater landscape on my nail.

Final thoughts: I am so happy with this little bottle of Mint Flavor - it is EXACTLY the shade I love to wear in summer (and fall and winter and spring). I even love it so much that I am willing to put up with the challenging formula.

I ordered the Rainbow Honey Creme Couture Mini Set with Pshiiit Boutique

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!

  4. I totally agree with you this one is definitely a perfect colour for Summer! Oh, and I have several polishes with this kind of "difficult" application so to say, but the colour is so worthy!!! :)
