Picture Polish Bonkers

Today I have Picture Polish Bonkers for you my dear readers. I know, berry is a color where the minds of NPA's get apart - it can have a sort of dated and mumsy look but I really like them and if they come so saturated and muted at the same time like Picture Polish Bonkers I am sold.

I applied two coats of Picture Polish Bonkers over my regular Base Coat. The formula is cream-perfection: highly pigmented, just the right amount of flow in the consistency to easily spread it on the nails and dry time is at speed light. Its own shine makes wearing a Top Coat no must - still, I recommend to seal any mani with Top Coat, especially if you spend your day typing away like I do. Afterthought: I wonder if this is due to my nail chemistry but I find Top Coat helps prevent chipping and tip wear. If I ever go without Top Coat I most of the time have quite a white line on the tips of my nails by lunch time and the one or the other chip at the end of the day.

Final thoughts: Picture Polish Bonkers (I just LOVE the word "bonkers" and it appears quite often in my daily vocabulary) is certainly no ground-breaking invention color wise but stellar with regard to formula and performance. I wear one coat of Bonkers on my toes for more than 10 days now and have tip wear so to say but there is still high shine and no major chipping.

I really love Picture Polish new releases. They clearly improved their already excellent formula to stellar level - each of their new polishes has an impeccable formula and great performance on the nails. It certainly was worth the restraint to buy anything from the biggies (talking Essie, China Glaze, Opi and Zoya here) and save up for them!!!

I ordered Picture Polish Bonkers with their own website.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  1. I'm pretty sure it's not your nail chemistry that topcoat makes your mani last longer, it's something you can read everywhere: to prolong wearing time use base- and topcoat. A clear protection layer that, well, protects the color underneath :-)

    1. Having heavily ridged nails, I anyhow never walk the planet without base coat. I started wondering though because there seem to be plenty of ladies out there who do not seem to have those issues with chips and tipwear despite not wearing base or top coat….

    1. well then we will be two roaming the streets on wheels - LOL!!! I loved my berries way back during my first nailpolish phase some X0 years ago - I remember one particular number by Chanel - long since extinct and I would even not be able finding it because I remember whether name nor number - I go bonkers over this :-D. So berry and I go a loooong way back ;-)

  3. This is so pretty! Hehe I would describe one of my cats as 'bonkers' - he really is.

I rarely use a top coat and I'm quite lucky because most polishes tend not to chip. Some do show tip wear signs though and some don't!
