Elevation Tuesday: Black Ice

Tuesday means Elevation Polish with Polished Marvels. Today I have Black Ice from the Naughty by Nature Collection. Its inspiration is the treacherous black ice found in the winter months in Minnesota. Just this past Saturday we experienced some really badly iced roads, fifty accidents in two hours and even the public buses couldn't drive anymore. Luckily after lunchtime the nightmare was over. So showing Black Ice is more than appropriate, right?

Elevation Polish Black Ice is a charcoal polish filled with silver and turquoise shimmer particles and it really looks like our roads did this past Saturday morning - iced black Tarmac with the first shy rays of sunshine bouncing back from it!!!

the above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photo outside in the shade

I applied two creamy coats of Elevation Polish Black Ice over Essence Hardening Nail Base. The formula is rich and creamy and flows like velvet from the brush to the nail. As with many of my Elevation Polishes the dry time is normal. It dries to a satin finish. If you want to keep that soft shine, I suggest you try Cult Nails Wax That Top Coat. I for my part choose my high shine Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Final thoughts: I love Elevation Polish Black Ice for its understated elegance - I felt so classy when I wore it with an all black outfit.

I ordered Elevation Polish Black Ice with their own Bigcartel shop here.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for passing by!!!
Christine

    1. Hi Essie, I hoped you would like it and I was really surprised by this number as it hides its secret well in the bottle <3

  3. YESS!! More big photos :D I love this, sis, it reminds me of a darker Zoya Fei Fei, which was one of my favorites from last year (and one of Zoya's best ever, imo). Black ice, though-- no bueno. And scary.

    1. Hi sis - thank you for your advice - I like the biggies too :-)! Ahhh FeiFei, such an extraordinaire gem, I never tried it because I gave my bottle to a dear friend who was literally craving for it and had no way to get her hands on it - oh well.... And I believe Black ice is worse than what we had - eeeeeeks - have a great day xxx

    1. Thank you dear Yun <3 - isn't it amazing how some polishes have the ability to change their face depending on the light?
