I have a wonderful fellow Swiss nail polish blogger -
Aglayanails. She has a gorgeous nail polish collection and comes up with the most incredible combinations. While I did see Cadillacquer on so many other Blogs it is thanks to her that I got my first Cadillacquer nail polishes (two of them I already showed). So I finally thought it is about time to thank her for hooking me on that great Swiss nail polish line Cadillacquer!!!
The last of my first ever three Cadillacquer is The Dark Defender and from their Dexter Collection. It is a sheer teal base with tons of purple and turquoise mini glitter in it and is it possible that there is silver shimmers in it???
the above two pictures are taken in the sun, the below photo indoors in the shade
I applied three coats of The Dark Defender over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. The formula is as it would be in a normal cream polish, just slap, slap and off you go. With its sheer black base I find tip wrapping core. I have to admit, I don't like dark jellies that still show VNL - therefore a third coat was a MUST for me. The Dark Defender dries quickly and nearly smooth. One coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Fast Dry was all there was needed to achieve a glossy, smooth finish.
Final thoughts: At three coats the incredible density of the glitter gives a foil like look and the twinkle and sparkle is incredible. Sure, The Dark Defender has plenty of sparkle it has a class and a sophistication that clearly sets it apart - yep, this is true polish love ;-). I have to admit that I am now a true Cadillacquer convert!!!
I ordered all my Cadillacquer with their own Etsy Shop
here.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine
