Sinful Colors San Francisco

You all might have seen my recent posts from polishes I received from wonderful Liesl from Liesl Loves Pretty Things and there is more (Liesl you spoiled me rotten ;-))!!!!

San Francisco is the most amazing metallic Green that reminds me a lot of Turmaline - a favorite stone of mine :-)!!!

The formula is on the thin side and sheer but easily buildable to opacity. I applied three coats over Butter London Nailfoundation. I immediately thought of Nfu Oh Winter Glitter in green and dabbed some to the tips. I intentionally dabbed some more towards the base of the nail on my ring finger. On the photo I am not really taken by this look but since it was so pretty IRL I added the picture anyhow. The added glitter gives a dose of sparkle to the shine and since the green is so vibrant and strong a contrasting glitter might have been too busy to the eye.

What do you think of tone in tone glitter manis?

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  1. SF is stunning on you, C! And the addition of the glitter is brilliant. It looks so beautiful in your photo, I can only imagine it irl :) Don't be walking into any lamp posts or anything ;)

    1. Hi love, thank you so much xxx!!! I love tone in tone a lot too - my nails are rather small and strong contrasts make them somehow looking too busy if you know what I mean ;-). And b.t.w. I love tone in tone bouquets as well :-)

    1. Thank you dear Yun :-)!!! Unfortunately I ruined the mani way too early by trying it with glitter on the whole nail but it ruins the visibility of the different finishes - oh well.....

  5. Hi Christine! This is a combo made in heaven ! both polishes together look stunning, I can only imagine how this looks irl, since you said "I'm not taken by the look on the picture", this must be out of the world irl! I love green, specially this shade of green, is it emerald green? well I'm not good at naming colours.
    Love,

    1. Salut chère Nati, thank you so much sweetie <3. Your Description is totally accurate and how should I best describe this - the finishes were a lot stronger IRL, it was really a flashy mani - I ruined it then by applying the glitter on the whole nail - the finish of SF was then lost :-S Bisous
