China Glaze Sky High Top

All the polishes I have shown you so far are pretty recent releases. But then there are always those Oldies but Goldies from a couple of years back that I still love and use. Today I want to show you one of them: China Glaze Sky High Top from their Kicks Collection released for summer 2009:

Both pictures taken indoors in artificial light. While in the above picture you can just get a glimpse at its beautiful aqua shimmer this blue gem changes its appearance depending on how light falls onto the nails. In the photo below it looks leans towards a cornflower blue.

Sky High Top has a great formula. It glided evenly on the nail and hardly left bald spots. However drying time is on the slow side and most certainly not my pick for a quick mani ;-) Still this is one of my true Oldies but Goldies and having swatched it for this post just reminded me how much I love it and I am wearing it not often enough :-(.

Do you have an Oldie but Goldie that you wear not often enough? If so, which one?

I order my China Glaze polishes with Head2Toe and Transdesign.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  1. I'm glad you are showing an oldie. We get so wrapped up in the new releases that it's hard to wear the old ones. I have a bunch that I love that just get lost in the shuffle. Recently I thought about wearing Chanel Peridot again...the polish that is responsible for me having a blog in the first place:)

  3. Hi love!
I absolutly love this one! It's sooo beautiful!!
I've looked at it so many times but never bought it... I must get it some day!!
Does it dry slow even with a speedy top coat on? Like Seche Vite or such.

    1. Hi doll!! Thank you xxx!!!! I always wait until the polish is just dry to the touch before applying ANY Top Coat. I find while I need some patience during application it hardens through a lot quicker (read bed sheet marks - LOL). I waited about 10 minutes in- between applying coats. xxx

  4. Hi Christine! An awesome colour you're showing us! This looks so well on you, I do not own it, but I could not possibly pull out a colour like this. I have several oldies that I do not wear as much as I'd like! I'm thinking of OPI Jade is the new black right now.
Thanks for the lovely swatch! xx

I also felt s bit guilty for having had Sky High Top hidden for so long - we simply don't have enough hands for all this polish ;-)!!! Have a lovely day - bisous
