A Greentastic Week: Girly Bits Hulk Smash

I do not have a particular favorite color but I most certainly have favorite shades of colors - LOL. And grass green is my favorite shade of green. I mean the deep, rich green of a meadow after a rainfall in early summer - ugh, now I get poetic, fastforward to today's polish Girly Bits Hulk Smash. During Llarowe's last Girly Bits restock I got a chance to put my green loving nails on Hulk Smash!!!!

The above photo is taken in artificial light and - much to my surprise really caught the IRL look!!! - Not in the bottle, mind you, but on the nails it really looked like this!!! DON'T BE FOOLED HOW THE COLOR LOOKS LIKE IN THE BOTTLE. This is the most misleading bottle color you could imagine. It looks like the green on my nails but a lot more saturated - does this make sense??? :-S

To me it seems as if this polish is dark and neon at the same time, how unique. On its own this polish is incredibly sheer and I cannot fathom how many layers would be required to achieve opacity. I went for Essie Pretty Edgy, another long time grass green polish of mine, as base color.

I took this picture in daylight with a little bit of sun and it was like BAMM!!! The neon came alive on my nails!!!

I applied two coats of Girly Bits Hulk Smash over one coat of Essie Pretty Edgy.

I never really considered neons in winter, but Hulk Smash is an exception - your thoughts? Winter appropriate?

Girly Bits polishes are available with Harlow & Co and with Llarowe .

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
