Subtle Holiday manis: KBShimmer Elle over Essie Miss Fancy Pants

There is no way I could pass KBShimmer Elle for my series of subtle Holiday manis. I first tried it on its own but due to the jelly quality of the polish three coats definitively would be required and I absolutely dislike thick layers of polish on my nails.

This season we have plenty of choices of light grey/taupe creams that provide an excellent base color. I choose Essie Miss Fancy Pants from their Stylenomics Collection. Other options might be Opi Berlin There Done That or a light grey like Zoya Dove to name two.

This is one coat of KBShimmer Elle over one coat of Essie Miss Fancy Pants. I used Essie Fill the Gap as Base Coat and Essie Good to Go for Top Coat. Somehow I had issues with all this load of glitter on my brush and it translated to glitter clusters on some of my nails. I could easily move clustered glitter with a tooth pick around though!!!

I took another photo in indirect lightning as it looked so different:

I love the KBShimmers for their incredible wearability. Also their glitters can be easily worn on its own or layered - it does not diminish their beauty!!!

My question to you: you think this still qualifies as subtle?

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine
