Those of you who read my Blog regularly know, that my nail art skills are veeery basic and my stamping skills on toddler level. I spent all week tossing and turning ideas, collecting inspirations on Instagram and reviewing my stash for the above three colors. @_sven_ja_ has picked colors I am owning in X varying shades - how very attentive, thank you sweetie!!! But on to the mani:
Pinkie, index and thumb: two coats of Girly Bits Flash Your Tips (from Llarowe's A Box Indies February)
Ring and middle: two coats of Cult Nails Tempest, dots with Picture Polish Honey Dew and Girly Bits Flash Your Tips
From left: Cult Nails Tempest, Picture Polish Honey Dew, Girly Bits Flash Your Tips
I realized I never posted Girly Bits Flash Your Tips on its own - look at this beauty:
I cannot remember how many coats I applied - I would guess it was two coats as well. The formula is fantastic to work, thin though easy to control and even to apply.
Note: I did not edit any of the coloring in the above pictures - Flash Your Tips is really this multifaceted, holorific beauty as shown above.
Final thoughts: I enjoyed each part of this mani, selecting the colors, choosing the nail decor and last but not least the painting itself. I hope to repeat this soon and by now would have also some colors lined up for @_sven_ja_ ;-)!
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

What a fun skittelette! Nice colors too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you hon - I only realized when compiling the colors that hit and miss can be very close with those three - haha xoxo
DeleteGood color combo, fun mani!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweetie <3
DeleteFlash Your Tips... ooh myyy!! lol :) I love your bottle shot there in the middle-- so elegant! Did you take advantage of the 50% off Cult Nails sale? I've been thinking about either that or placing a Nire's Desire order, but I logged into my email this morning to find that I'm being sent the Julep June Maven box (ugh, I should have cancelled with them long ago) so no new polishes of my choosing, at the moment... AAAAAnyhoo, what a fun concept this is, a friend choosing colors for you to make some polish magic with! The colors are great together and your dotticure is perfect! You're getting so good at this art stuff, sis ♥♥
ReplyDeleteThank you sis <3!!! I skipped the 50 % sale - I tend to order my Culties during pre-order and then find myself longing for those new releases. And then, since January, I subscribed to Llarowes A Box Indied which had the unexpected effect of diminishing my orders dramatically. I know, I get at least 4 Indie polishes a month and they are usually spectacular. We could do a post of this kind once too - what do you think? You are too kind about my nail art skills - my stamping still has lots of room to improve - grrrrr!!! And Dotticures are SO simple, I usually don't even have a plan when I start but once the base color is on, the rest just blobs into my mind - LOL - xxx
DeleteThis is simple yet really nice! I like what you've done. And that holo is just stunning :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much dear <3!!! Agreed - the holo is, well simply holotastic :-)
DeleteI am being 100% honest here: your nail art is perfect because it's never too much. I am one of those unusual polish girls who doesn't really like nail art. Yours is always understated and tasteful. Your dotticures are always stinkin' perfect!! I have a dotting tool and I can't get anything to work for me!! BOO! Oh, and Flash Your Tips...uh wow.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much my dear Melissa <3! You nearly left me speachless - this certainly is one of the most flattering compliments I received EVER about my nailart! While I love to look at nailart, I cannot bear wearing the same design on alll nails myself. Toning down is core for me ;-). I tell you my first dotticures were miserable and I wondered who the heck called this technique simple. I am sure you will agree after a few more practising :-)
