I applied two to three coats of Pahlish ? Mystery Cream Polish over my regular Base Coat. The formula was typical Pahlish - slightly thin but not runny and easy to control. The first coat went on sheer and I already saw a challenge raising on the nail polish horizon getting this baby opaque. But trust Pahlish to come up with a thin yet build able and self leveling cream and to top it all - YELLOW! In my eyes they mastered this hurdle perfectly - this polish leveled itself out in front of my eyes and was totally opaque upon the second coat (if applied in medium thick layers) or the third coat (applied thinly). Having tried both versions, I definitely go for three thin coats. As usual the dry time with Pahlish ? was fast so getting a third coat on your nails is not a big steal of your time. And the high shine is just fantastic.

Final thoughts: I am smitten by this take on yellow and while there are certainly more flattering colors for me out there, I find this totally summer appropriate and refreshing. I am so exited that more and more Indie nail polish creators start going on creams, something I missed in the past. And Pahlish certainly hit bulls eye with this creation at every aspect. Also I like the Mystery Polish section of Pahlish where you can get yourself a little suprise treat. This way I discovered this beautiful yellow which I probably would not have ordered if seen previously. By now have collected quite a number of them - hardly an order is placed without a bottle of ? in my cart ;-).
I ordered Pahlish ? Mystery Cream Polish with their own Bigcartel shop here.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

It's very bright and eye-popping - I like it :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much sweetie <3 - it indeed is bright though just this short of a neon that makes it (at least for me) wearable at work
Deletelol, first I didn't understand that the polish name was "?" and was wondering about all the question marks ;) anyhow...I loved this color, so bright and still almost pastel in the same time! :D I just love yellow shades!
ReplyDeleteHi Gelic - oh my, I was struggling to explain - the polish is nameless basically as it is from a small batch that was done for testing or what have you. Sorry if I was unclear in my post! I hoped you would like it as I thought yellow might be really up Gelic's alley ;-)
DeleteHi pet! I can also feel the need for a calm cream after wearing a lot of glitter, nail art etc. I think cream actually is my favorite finish! Easy to apply, easy to remove. Great to stamp on ;)
ReplyDeleteThis cream reminds me of lemon sorbet! Yummy! It's bright but not in your face. I love it on you hon!
Viele Küsschen!!! xxx
Hi doll - :-o Stamping!!!! I knew you would somehow wave this in here ;-) - but funny enough, by now I look at creams and judge them by stamping quality myself - LOL!!! Thank you for all the help and support with this obstacle of mine!!! I think creams are my favorite too, but closely followed by holos and flakies and textures. Lemon Sorbet - yummie, you are right - have a lovely day - viele Küsschen xxx
DeleteWhoa...this is almost blinding! It's really fun though...and I love the fact that it has such an ambiguous name. :P Now for some reason, I'm craving lemon meringue pie...
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa - oh I really did a bad job explaining the nameless polish. It is like a mystery bag or a surprise product. I just ordered a cream polish with no idea what color I would get. Lemon Meringue Pie - bly me - and it is yet so long before lunch..............
DeleteLove, LOVE this yellow!
ReplyDeleteThank youuuuuuuuu hon xxx
DeleteOh my Christine! this is superlative, a yellow creme that levels out by itself?! It had to be Pahlish! I wouldn't know this brand if it wasn't for your influence and I also own a great Pahlish thanks to your generosity, and guess what? Earlier this week, I said WTH!, and placed my first order at Llarowe! so I might end up converting to the indie-religion hihihi (yes, too many "!" )
ReplyDeletebisous, ma biche, xxx
Salut Nati - no, I cannot believe to read this, you went Indie - hihi, now of course you got me totally curious to see soon what you treated yourself with - and of course yes, I sent you a Pahlish Mystery number a while ago. And by the way, there can never be enough !!!! when it comes to nail polish excitement - no? Bisous xxx
