ILNP Sweet Serenade

I have some mercy here with you and take a short break from my rave on Picture Polish. Isn't it time, that I should show one of my older untrieds? I haven't done that in ages - or so it seems. Long babble short - I sat on ILNP Sweet Serenade for quite some months before finally showing it here. Sweet Serenade is one of ILNP's older multi chromes that were released before their mind-blowing multi chromes hit terra firma and moves in darker, less evident color shifting depths.

Sweet Serenade has a very sheer black base that is filled with color shifting pigments ranging from purple to blue to teal to green but in a goth manner and is "iced" with some gorgeous turquoise shimmer - if this makes any sense.

I applied two coats of ILNP Sweet Serenade over my regular Base Coat. While the formula was typically multi chrome sheer, it built to opacity at two coats. I found tip wrapping very helpful with Sweet Serenade given its sheer black base. Dry time was rather fast and the finish is not overly shiny - hence my photos are taken with Top Coat.

Final thoughts: Sweet Serenade is one gorgeous deep multi chrome number and if you don't mind a little less into the face color shifts and love dark nail polish this definitely is worth looking at. For sure it is unique in my stash - a rare label these days ;-). I wore it as NOTD last week and just could not stop glancing at my nails trying to detect all its color shifts!

I ordered ILNP Sweet Serenade with their own website here.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for dropping by!!!

    1. Thank you Yun <3! I was so happy to discover the color shift in my pictures - Sweet Serenade is a bit of a Diva and its colors get shy when fully in the light ;-)

    1. Thank you so much - it really holds a uniqueness compared to the duo chromes currently floating round in the nail polish galaxy <3

  3. Oh. My. Goodness...I think I just turned a corner down Awesome Street and found Right Up My Alley!! :) Wow, this is so unique...I love it. I love the unusual color and the not in-your-face shift. And that turquoise shimmer! I think I'll park here for a while...

  5. Gorgeous! You had more luck with capturing the color shift that I had (maybe it's the natural light, I took all pictures in my soft box...)

    1. Thank you so much - I think it is the shade/light thing that makes the shift so visible. I most of the time try to swatch the "shifters" in overcast weather - I tell you, that gives the best result. And I don't have a Softbox (as if you wouldn't have guessed, right ;-P)

    2. You don't need a softbox, you have the chance to take your pictures in daylight. I don't have the time to do that, that's the only reason why I have a softbox (bricolage, I used a milky-clear plastic box from Migros, some sheets of tissue paper and two desk lamps with daylight bulbs...)

  6. Oooh love the color shifting effect! At least you can clearly see it on your nails and not just in the bottle.
