Happy New Year

My lovely, dear readers,

I wish you and your loved ones a Happy New Year! I wish you happiness, laughter, joy, health! Yes, I had yet the hardest year of my life to live through but still, there was so much beauty and wonderful things happening last year, I would be ignorant to not gratefully look back and bow my head to the amount of luck I had. Wonderful family events, the best friends ever keeping me company IRL and on the Blog and through What's App - thank you all for bringing so much color and joy into my 2013. So yes, despite any obstacle I have a wonderful and fulfilled life and I am more than curious what will go on this year - 2014 I am ready, let's roll!!!

As announced yesterday, I bode farwell to 2013 with my closest friends. We went to our favorite hang-out and had a fun dinner. To me the most important on New Years Eve is to spend it with all those people that I live through the year with and to have a good time with them.

The event itself is informal, no dress code or fancy location. Still, a healthy dose of bling is a basic for me. And despite the manis I showed in the last couple of days, it was A England Excalibur reborn that made it down to my nails.

the above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photo outside in the shade

I applied two coats of A England Excalibur over Essence Hardening Nail Base. The accent nail is done with A England She Walks in Beauty. The formula of A England Excalibur is awesome, if silk would be liquid, this would be how it flows on the nail. While Excalibur dried quick to the touch, it remained soft and dentable - hence the accent nail. I found a major dent in the middle of my ring finger just as I was about ready to leave the house. She Walks in Beauty covered it up perfectly and on top of it - gave the mani a very delicate twist.

I hope you all have the time to enjoy the first day of the year - I look forward to an exiting year not only as what life has in store per se but nail polish-wise too!

Love,
Christine

    1. Happy New Year to you too Melissa - the same goes for me, my, didn't we have some good laughs and great conversations, even if it was cyberwise only? The pig is Marzipan. I checked the English translation and it says Marzipan! And in case you wonder, I ate the pig after taking the picture ;-)

    3. LOL - you would have loved it - the pig covered a delicious pot of dough filled with a creamy praline filling. And over here we do Marzipan stuff for each and every opportunity - Valentine's Day? Mother's Day? Carneval? You name it we have some Marzipan figurines created for this special day :-D
