Picture Polish Serenity

After that brief interception of yesterday I continue with showing the latest Picture Polish Collaboration shades. Today it is the turn of Serenity created in collaboration with  the Polished Peripherals. Mermaids - where are you? This for sure is a polish any Ariel out there will be longing for. A vivid turquoise metallic that shines either in an intense light blue or pink depending on the angle of your nails and interspersed with small purple hex errr sorry square glitters (had to actually put on my reading glasses to get the distinction of the shape - LOL).

The above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photos outside in the shade

 in artificial light:

I applied three thin coats of Picture Polish Serenity over Essence Hardening Nail Base. Serenity has simply a perfect formula - thin yet pigmented (you got it, those are my favorites) and there is just enough polish traveling on the brush to cover each nail with an even layer of polish. Due to the thinner consistency, I would suggest to rather go with three thin coats than two thicker ones - as Serenity is drying very fast, we don't talk a loss of time here. The shimmer makes this polish dry to a satin shine and in order to keep that effect even with Top Coat, I choose Cult Nails Wicked Fast, which is very shiny mind you, but not so glossy that it would "dull" the sight of the original satin finish.

Final thoughts: Picture Polish and the Polished Peripherals have me awed - they created "le" stunner. Serenity looks to me like Zoya Zuza and RBL Aqua Lily joined forces and some purple glitters jumped in to join the band. From Zuza comes the intense, strong turquoise, from Aqua Lily the clearly visible shift in shimmer from bright turquoise to pink. And I am really sorry to not have been able to capture the pink shine in my pictures but despite the sunny weather, the light is weak and the sun just doesn't have enough force to make that shine step forward on pictures - so you have to take my word for it: IT IS CLEARLY THERE AND VISIBLE IRL ;-)!

I ordered Picture Polish Serenity with Harlow & Co.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  2. Oh wow, this is a stunner! Love your description of it looking like a cross between Zuza and Aqua Lily with some purple glitters thrown in. This is the first time I've seen this polish... how it has escaped my attention until now, I don't know. But I love it! :D
