Elevation Tuesday: Volcanic Dust

It has been a while since I did an Elevation Tuesday!!! I think it is about time to revive this tradition again as I got some new beauties from Elevation Polish. And since this week it is all about red nail polish with Polished Marvels I have Volcanic Dust for you - a brown toned deep red cream (I find the formula though like a crelly) released in the Naughty by Nature Collection.

the above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the photos below outside in the shade

and in artificial light:

I applied two coats of Elevation Polish Volcanic Dust over Essence Hardening Nail Base. The formula of Volcanic Dust is thin but easily buildable and applies very, very even and has an excellent selfleveling quality. It is sufficiently pigmented to reach opacity at two coats though maintaining the squishy look of a jelly. Dry time is quick and the finish is slightly dull. Of course also Volcanic Dust calls for a high shine Top Coat.

Final thoughts: Elevation Polish Volcanic Dust is a wonderful classic elegant red. I seem to remember, that when the first reviews of Volcanic Dust appeared it was not entirely sure yet if it would become available to the wide public - boy, am I glad that it made it into the Naughty by Nature Collection!!! Elevation Polish remains a favorite brand of mine and I am stunned again and again about the uniqueness of the creations as of the quality.

I order my Elevation Polishes directly from their own bigcartel shop here.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  2. Very pretty and shiny! I don't wear many reds and I don't think I have anything like this in my collection. That may need to change:)
