Cirque Lichen

Were any of you also totally smitten by Cirque's latest Collection Alchemy? I badly, very badly, fell for it and Lichen, the olive-golden-to-grass-green-shifting polish, was the first I threw into my cart. Once more, I have taken tons of pictures:

Waterbowl shot anyone?

I applied two velvety coats of Cirque Lichen over Essence Hardening Nail Base. The formula is creamy and pigmented. You could get away with one coat if carefully applied but I prefer the base color deeper and more saturated. Lichen dries fast to a soft shine - I slapped on one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer to achieve the glossy finish.

Final thoughts: another dangerous polish in my collection - or maybe there are just too many lamp posts in my road, but ogling my nails was really distracting and I just could not get enough at discovering all depths and dimensions Lichen has to show off!!! And I cannot wait to show you my other picks from that collection - but this will be saved for another week…..

I order my Cirque polishes with their own website, but there are a number of international e-sellers that offer Cirque: Harlow & Co, MeiMei Signatures and Pshiiit Boutique to name three.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  1. Ahh, another lamp post polish ♥♥♥ I'm sporting one of those myself, today. :) This is beautiful! You've been so tempting me with these olive/forest green shimmery shifters. How does this compare to the a-England you posted about a few weeks ago?
My thoughts on potential one-coaters is that unless the first coat is tremendously thick and multifaceted, and smooth, I will always go with a second, even if the first is completely opaque. Maybe it's force of habit, but most the time, a second coat will indeed smooth out imperfections and give the polish a richer appearance.

    1. Hi Liesl, thank you so much - I have seen the picture of your polish on my Blog roll and will head over later to get a veeeeery close look as it looks stunning even in super mini format!!! There, you worded it so perfectly regarding the one coaters!!! And lucky us that Emerald color of the year really had an impact on manufacturers to pour out greens in all shades!!! <3 have a lovely day

  2. My WORD this is beautiful! That water bowl shot makes it look like there's a dim light glowing in your nails. I love your theme weeks, and I don't have a whole lot of greens, so I can't wait to see what else you've got in your magic box of goodies. :D

    1. Thank you so much dear Melissa, I am so happy you lke my themed weeks, green is such a multifaceted color and yet seems to draw the short straw with nailpolish manufacturers every so often. Lately they seemed to have made up big time though as there were all of a sudden shades beyond the dark green and Stylo Marker Neon out there - LOL!!!
