Pretty Serious Seasonal Sunset

As mentioned yesterday todays' post is about a so called "exotic" nail polish brand. Pretty Serious is Australian based beauty brand that sells its polishes with a variety of international e-shops (please find the list at the end of this post). If you got a moment after reading my post, I suggest you visit their own website here - it is so unique and quirky!!! When looking up Pretty Serious you will not find your straight forward reds, blues, greens but those shades come always with a twist and tweak, be it a strong duo chrome shift, glimmer, shimmer, glitter you name it, they have it. Their creations are so avant-garde and eye-catching yet their quality is stellar.

Since we now finally clearly definitely arrived in full autumn here in Switzerland I choose a true autumn color - Seasonal Sunset - a brown polish that is loaded with gold and copper glitter. The polish actually looks like heaps of dried leaves sprinkled with golden sparks:

the above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, all of the below outside in the shade

and then some in artificial light - see those twinkles in the blurry shot?

I applied two coats of Seasonal Sunset over Essence Hardening Nail Base. Despite the glitter density - and probably because the micro size of them - the formula is perfectly silky to apply and dries to a smooth surface in a rather short time.

You can buy Pretty Serious with the following international e-shops:
Harlow & Co
Llarowe
Mei Mei Signatures
Pshiiit Boutique

They do come a bit pricey at USD 12.50 but frankly, I haven't bought a single one that would not have been worth every cent paid.

About "exotic" nailpolish brands: for us gals living in Europe or US brands coming from Australia or Brazil definitely classify as exotic - now I wonder what brand would count as "exotic" in Australia, probably yesterdays Cult Nails certainly is one of them.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  1. If this isn't a Fall polish, I don't know what is! Perfect:) It snows in your neck of the woods, right? Or just in the mountains?

    1. Thank you dear Essie <3!!! Luckily it only snowed in the mountains. But from where I work, I could see some snow covered mountains in the distance. I live in a "mild pot" so to say - there might be snow left and right and we are the last to get a load of it - gladly ;-)

  6. I just adore these burning leaves polishes so much! This is beautiful on you, too. Color4Nails will be carrying Pretty Serious before long, too, and I'm excited :) I adore the label, too. Some of these indies knocked it out if the park with their logos and this is one of them, imo. The sixties kitschiness is perfect!
