Elevation Polish Mount Cangyan

So, my dear readers, time for my weekly Elevation Polish post!!! This week I have Mount Cangyan for you. Let's do some education before we start ogling nails: Mount Cangyan is in the Northwestern part of  China and means Green Cliff Mountain. It is part of a scenic natural mountain area with man-made structures (quoted from Wikipedia). The Fortune Celebration Temple is the most famous building on Mount Cangyan and was build during the Sui Dynasty (518-618 AD).

Enough of the school stuff and on to polish and pictures. Mount Cangyan is a purple based cruelly infused with golden and magenta shimmer.

The above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, all of the below photos outside in the sun and shade

I applied three coats of Mount Cangyan over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. Mount Cangyan is a crelly - this says the most about its formula, right? But we have come across plenty of variations of crellies right? Mount Cangyan has a perfect formula though, while crelliesh sheer the consistency is not thin or runny and application is flawless. For me it worked best painting three thin coats and wait a couple of minutes in between coats to prevent dragging. As with my other Elevation Polishes dry time was not fast but still totally within normal range.

Final thoughts: another elegant shade from Elevation Polish. It has a nearly regal flair with the golden and magenta shimmer floating in the purple base.

I ordered Elevation Polish Mount Cangyan from their own website here.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  2. Wow, I'm stunned! This was so beautiful and I can imagine that it looks even better irl. It's that kind of polish that at first glance look like any purple and then, DANG, sun hits and the shimmer just mesmerize! haha..maybe I got too into it now but I'm tired and should be a sleep long time ago but still I'm up looking at nail art and polishes through out the web. :)
