Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu - comparison

I have to admit, I have amassed quite a stash of soft turquoise over the last couple of months. No wonder, this was one of my favorite colors this summer!!! So I thought this would call for a comparison, right? - Let's get on with it:

From left:
Bondi Lady Liberty, Bourjois Bleu Model, Butter London Poole, Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu, Cult Nails Manipulative

On my hands they are applied three coats of each polish in reverse to the picture of the bottles:
Pinkie: Cult Nails Manipulative
Ring: Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu
Middle: Butter London Poole
Index: Bourjois Bleu Model
Thumb: Bondi Lady Liberty

Formula:
The formulas of Cult Nails Manipulative, Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu, Bondi Lady Liberty and Butter London Poole were excellent, Poole leading the pack with just stellar performance. It has to be noted though that Jengish Chokusu is a crelly and the other two are creams. Bourjois Bleu Model has a thin formula, buildable though. And Bondi Lady Liberty has the creamiest formula.

Colors:
Butter London Poole and Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu are close to being identical. The difference is mostly in the "personality": Jengish Chokusu being a crelly, Poole a cream. Jengish Chokusu seems to me the most glowing, intense color. Poole is dustier. Cult Nails Manipulative has this awesome shimmer particles in it and is more blue. Bondi Lady Liberty is the mintiest of them and Bourjois Bleu Model the darkest.

Final thoughts: I am totally useless to answer the question "do you need all of them?"!! As a serious, hard nailpolish addict I am happy with each and every one of them. In the end it probably results in what shade or finish you prefer.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

My favourite is still JC (I still can't pronounce it! lol!) Perhaps because it the most glowing one - perhaps due to it being a cruelly?

    1. Hi doll, thank you so much - and there, another true nail polish friend said a true word - no way they are the same - LOL!!! I have no idea if my pronunciation is correct but I say "Tschengish Tschokusu" haha, maybe totally wrong here - LOL!!! And so you saw it too? It does glow more than the others!!! I had a wonderful time at the party. It was so great to meet so many of my cousins and their kids - they are now also adolescent at least, one of them has already a baby herself!!! I am so happy we are now live and I am curious what kind of reactions we get…. - viele Küsschen xxx

  2. Great post! I was literally blinking to make sure I wasn't seeing 5 identical polishes, but in the end, only the BL and the Elevation looked identical. I love this color so I'm sure I would love them all. :D

    1. Hi Melissa, thank you so much <3!!! Hahah, I was astonished myself to find them so similar!!! And isn't this what true nail polish love is about? Appreciate the soft differences between polishes of our favorite colors? xxx

  3. Yay, I love comparisons and these colors are so beautiful. I also have a bunch of polishes which are similar like the ones you are showing, and still, like you, I like all of them because each and one of them are unique in my eyes. When there's a color I really like I often hoard them and then it just gets like this :D

  4. Salut ma belle! I love turquoise! It's my favourite stone because of its colour, well that and also amethyst. I think you can never have enough turquoise polishes, and all the beauties shown above have enough difference between them to keep them all!
    <3 take care!

    1. Salut Nati, thank you so much!!! I also love Jade and Amethyst - especially Jade though. It's many shades and ever so slight variations are so facinating! And you are right - those polishes are different enough to justify owning them all :-)!!! Have a wonderful day - Bisous xxxx
