Contrary Polish Greenhouse

Contrary Polish has released a Trilogy of beautiful, shimmer infused polishes recently called Color Context Collection. Saturated deep colors are infused with shimmer that result in a smooth and soft shift of the base color. Confused? No problem, just look at the pictures - today I have Contrary Polish Greenhouse:

The above two pictures are taken indoors, the below two photos outdoors in the sun. The fine white line you see on my ring and part of my middle finger is actually a reflection from the white in the label ;-)!!! I am amazed at the color shift I see in the sunlight pictures :-)

I applied two effortless coats of Contrary Polish Greenhouse over A England The Knight Base Coat. It was a real pleasure to apply Greenhouse, while the first coat went on a tad streaky the second coat provided this dense and saturated green. The dry time is very fast. As for wear I have to say that so far all of my Contrary Polishes have shown great durability. I always ensure that I get my nail tips wrapped - it prolongs the wear with me at least for a day.

Additional info: Here in Switzerland we live through a real Summer heat wave. Sometimes warmth does have a less than exiting impact on the performance of polishes. I tried a polish the other day (cannot remember the brand) and while it nearly instantly became glooey, it NEVER dried fully. Now you might point out that some of the bottles are just "bad". But I used this polish before and never had any issues. Therefore I am really exited to report, that all the Contrary Polishes I have tried so far are performing perfectly in this heat :-)!!!

I ordered Contrary Polish Greenhouse with Llarowe.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  1. Heat can be SO contrary, so it's great that these Contrary Polishes cooperated with you. :) This is a lovely green, and of course I am loving the shimmer! It looks a little blueish outside I think?

    1. Hi Melissa - thank you so much xxx!!! LOL great phrasing!!!!! You are right, it shifts to blue on the edges. Contrary Polish has released some quite wordy description and if I am not totally wrong it says that the base color is a blue with shimmer infused that it makes it look green.

  2. Gorgeous! I'm experiencing another unwanted side effect of the heat while polishing: my Glitter Food topcoat is bubbling massively... :-/

    1. Thank you :-)!!! Oh bummer, how annoying :-S. Who would have thought that simple nailpolish could be so tricky ;-P. Since it wasn't as hot for such a long period in a while, those nuisances sort of passed me more or less unnoticed.

  3. Hi pet! OMG! It's really beautiful! It suits you so well! I've also experienced the same thing when I've tried to paint my nails on the balcony on a hot day! The polishes get really glooe and never dries! Weird. Puss, puss!! xxx
