My NOTDs of the Week

And again it is time to show you what I have slapped on my nails this week. Most of the polishes I used this week do not need any introduction - all of you have seen plenty of accurate and professional reviews when they were released.

I feel so bad to have left A England Jane Eyre for so long in my stash of untrieds, not to mention that it sat on my list to wear (yes I have that too) for about 8 weeks now. I just always got carried away with a new glitter, another flakie or an awesome holo. So finally here she comes:

I applied two effortless coats of A England Jane Eyre over A England The Knight Base Coat and finished the look with A England The Shield Top Coat.

The following day I remembered Risque Viuva Negra - a black jelly packed with ruby red glitter particles that I received from my wonderful sister of polish from Brazil. The glitter is a bit camera shy but IRL it really added remarkably to the look!

I simply applied one coat of Risque Viuva Negra over my existing many and sealed it with A England The Shield Top Coat.

Butter London Blagger is another polish that cued patiently in my line of untrieds until its first day of wear. This polish most certainly qualifies for manis when you are short of time or don't really have to nerve for an elaborate careful procedure of getting color onto your nails ;-)

These are two coats of Butter London Blagger over Butter London Nail Foundation - and I of course finished it with the respective Top Coat: Butter London Hardwear.

On Thursday evening I happily unpacked my order from Harlow & Co containing Ozotic Mr. Big in White and Black - next week I will write more detailed about them. I was determined to work either or into my end of the week mani and since I really, really, REALLY, was waiting for a proper white polish to be used as base for ANYTHING, my choice was made. Ozotic Mr. Big White is the perfect canvas for Emily de Molly's It's Complicated.

These are two coats of Ozotic Mr. Big White and one coat of Emily de Molly It's Complicated. The formula of It's Complicated is a dream to work with and the rather scarce than dense glitter makes it work-perfect for me. Still I had to "fish'n dab" some of the dark hex glitters to the one or the other nail but not really noteworthy or time consuming - mind you.

Side note: at this time of the year the complexion of my hands only vary from slight pink to piggish pink. No matter what tricks and tweaks I try, either the polish looks ghastly or I sacrifice the the color of my skin - BUT the polish is showed as IRL!! I think the above pictures clearly show my choice. Please apologize the yuk skin color in this and probably most of my future posts in the coming weeks xxx!

My Sunday question: which one is your favorite???

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

    1. Hi Jezz, thank you so much - ja I guess even I would have been able to pick your favorite this week - LOL!!! I live in Switzerland - in the German speaking part. I am shopping 98 % of my polishes online. Let's take BL Blagger - even though ordered and shipped from the UK it is still cheaper than one bottle of Opi I buy here with a local retailer. Also it seems that you have a much bigger choice in Sweden for nailpolishes. Essie and ChG are available here only since last summer and ChG go for more than three times the price you pay with Head2Toe or Transdesign including shipping - insane, isn't it? Xxx

  2. Hi Christine! hope you're having a great weekend! all these babies are quite pretty, but If I had to choose only one I'll stay with the rich vampy Risque Viuva Negra. It seems I'm in the mood for deep sexy colours, lol!
Your swatches are lovely, and I really don't see anything strange with the colour of your skin on your pictures!

    1. Hi my dear Nati, hope your enjoying a lovely weekend!!! Thank you for your comment about my skin, on my computer screen it looks gruesome and I was really a bit ashamed to publish them :-S. The Risque was the surprise shade for me too!!! If we would have had some sun I am sure it would even have been more stunning!! Maybe it is the January vibe that gets us into vampy sexy polish mood???

  4. Amazing selections this week, lady! That Butter looks divine, and I seriously need to get on the a-England bandwagon. Then that Risque is off the hook gorgeous. And I think your skintone looks lovely, you have nothing to apologize for :)

    1. Thank you my dear <3!!! and thanks for commenting on my skin tone - it really seems my screen's fault - HA!!!Blagger is very beautiful - I was told it is a near 100 % to Essie Mesmerize. I cannot make the comparison (anymore) since I gave Mesmerize to a friend. And I am sure you will love A England polishes - they are AMAZEBALLS!!!xxx have a great start into the new week

    1. Thank you :-)!!! I hope you soon get around to getting it!!! While Butter London polishes are really pricey compared to other brands I so far was never let down by its quality and performance, for me a strong argument to spend the extra cash on them ;-) If you get it enjoy and let me know how you like it!!!
