A vampylicious polish: Butter London La Moss

Vampy nailpolish is my preferred palette cleanser. I know, I hear you - we generally think nude shades for palette cleanser. However, I rotate more towards those sultry vampy shades for a change from my bold and glittery manis than towards nudes. In this post I want to show you my favorite vampy palette cleanser.

Butter London La Moss was my first ever Butter London polish. I was for a long time on the hunt for a Chanel Rouge Noir replacement - mind you, I love Rouge Noir but I wore this polish for two straight years. Nothing else was allowed to adorn my nails. Hence I am more than over it, I have to admit.

But on to the polish itself. La Moss is a jellyish super dark red color.

The above photo shows La Moss in daylight indoors, the below photo outdoors

As this polish is very thin I had to apply three thin coats to achieve maximum opacity without loading inches of polish on my nails. Luckily the formula is, while thin, not runny or pooling, else I probably would have fabricated an application mess that no amount of clean-up would have resolved.

What is your favorite palette cleanser?

I order my Butter London polishes with Pshiiit Boutique and Bath & Unwind

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

    1. Hi sweetie, thank youuuu xxx!!! I am with you Butter London generally got awesome formulas. I think for this particular shade it is just so important that the formula is more of a crelly than a real cream as I find creams that dark sort of dull after a day of wear - not the case with this one!!!

  2. That looks great on you! I've looked at this before, but it never really jumped out at me. After seeing your swatches, however, I may have to borrow it from a friend..

    1. Thank you :-)!!!! It admittedly sat quite a while in my stash of untrieds - I just was never really that exited either. But ever since I wore it, I always feel like putting it back on my nails again ;-). If you try it, let me know how you like it!!!

  4. Gorgeousness! So sexy!
You always have great ideas, NEVER thought of a vampy shade like this as a palette cleanser (btw this concept is also interesting!).
I think I go for sheer pinks (eg Essie sugar daddy or mademoiselle) when I've got enough of glitter and nail art stuff. But it's been very long since I last cleanse my palette!! LOL!
